Demise of Everton

Nothing at all dodgy here, oh no, nothing to see:

If this is true and they escape relegation for a second year running at our expense, EM should kick up a stink greater than his bathroom after a night on the curries.

What is the timescale for this third deduction? Are they going to kick it into next season again?

Yes it has, apparently.

You have to say, the Premier League are doing absolutely everything they can to avoid relegating Everton by virtue of - entirely justified - points deductions for their reckless financial behaviour.

Send them down and be done with it. A spell in the Championship, and having to cut their cloth accordingly, might actually do them good in the longer term.

777 are doing the usual American trick, of using other peoples money, to try and finance this take over. Thing is, I believe that they've reached the end of the road with their investors, and no more money is forthcoming, especially with doubt into which league Everton will be competing in next year.

The problem is, they are already over £160 million into this deal, which lenders were expecting back on Monday. That's not happening.

Everton are in a death spiral, and the EPL should stop pissing about with them. Get their accountants in and demand the true accounts. Where is the finance actually coming from? This situation is messy and looks like getting even messier.

I've had a great idea lads!

I think Forest should utilise our own "controversial" accounting policy.

It's really simple:

If it makes a loss, we simply don't report it to the Premier League.

I think, with this one simple trick, we won't fall foul of PSR, ever!

🙂

Why isn't everyone doing this??!?

„Premier League Financial Auditors HATE this one simple trick!“

demand the true accounts
You’d think/hope /expect the governing body to demand transparency as it seems the more they look the more they find, I‘m not naive enough to think Everton stand alone but the rule makers must take some responsibility as they’ve allowed this nonsense to continue, rules and laws are only fit for purpose if there’re enforced.

Shambles total shambles.

Because some are owned by nation states that fiddle FFP a different way.

But everyone else (bar Forest) already are

This sounds like 777 are going to pass the fit and proper owners' test with flying colours.
Just the sort of people we want investing in Englands professional football.

Everton's list of Excuses for overspending, revealed (in no particular order):-
1. Covid
2. The war in Ukraine.
3. The cost of living crisis.
4. Bubonic Plague.
5. The Wall Street Crash.
6. False diesel car emissions.
7. The miners strikes
8. Global Warming
9. Bird Flu
10. The diminishing bee population.
11. Those pesky kids
12. The ban on sales of The Sun on Merseyside meant they couldn’t get the racing results to see if their bets had won
13. Crewton told them there were no deadlines.
What, no Frank Lampard on the list. He must have been to blame surely.

I'd hope the Forest choir might shine a light on their cheating (of what appears to be a complete farce of a system in fairness) in our upcoming away match...

I don't want us tarred with the same victim brush, so perhaps a rousing rendition of, "We might be idiots, but you're f***ing cheats," will kick things off.

Not forgetting the classics, "Where's your COVID cash?" and, "100 mil to the academy," and suchlike...

No doubt we'll all be friends at the end, joining hands for a from the rooftops version of, "Richard Masters, what a wanker!"

Obviously the friendship won't be a long lasting one...

It's saying something when Forest are behind a club who survived last year by the "bearest of maaaargins"(a cricketing terminology for those who are wondering) having to survive off loan deals (even those with delayed payments) and twice as many docked points, still haven't beaten them in 3 attempts (2 points ahead with a game in hand, having had an awful run recently) whilst themselves buying players like a kid in a candy shop.

Everton were obviouly a vanity project by the owner, much like Fawaz.
The question remains, was Moshiri the ultimate owner or was he the front man for Usmanov?

Usmanov companies paid Moshiri at least £400m according to official documents. Was there more?

Usmsnov denies being in control, directly or indirectly. But it would be some vanity project for Moshiri if he was merely the Organ Grinder's monkey.

I think personally, you know the answer to that question already.

f***ing hell.

They should have had 8 points minimum for the 2nd breach.

2 points is ludicrous, from an enforcement point of view.

To appeal that is breathtaking.

This, then, takes the end of the Premier League season to after the final whistles.

Stupid stupid stupid

You do something once and get punished which gets reduced, you repeat the dose and get a lesser punishment and have the option to appeal…..let the cnuts off I say as a repeat breach they’ll lightly get a 5 point rebate up front.

I‘m disillusioned like many others with the whole saga.

I don’t want to labour the point pal as it’s mind numbing but in society your punishment SHOULD get worse for repeated offences ……..this lot will be getting PS5 and a weekend at Center Parcs at this rate.

Then there’s the alleged lies and deception ……..should have been fisted proper but they’ve been allowed to run clubs like market stalls.
