Massively depends which 11 it is. Squad depth is improved so the options from the bench are better and for injuries.

Squad depth is better but what good is that if your actual quality of your side has decreased? We struggled last season with Lodi available all year and having Henderson or Navas. If Murillo is better than Worrall than at least that is an improvement but I am not sure on that one yet.

Problem was the performances against Sheff U and Burnley were so abject that I dont think we may have improved from last season. Arsenal and United were better shows than last year but we arent picking any points up and still making braindead mistakes. Lets see where we are after 10 games before we can say we are gonna be reet.

Sorry my initial reply was just a joke.
My real reply is that we have Montiel and Aina to replace Lodi and a goalkeeper plus another incoming that are pretty much on par with Henderson. The Greek lad could be brilliant for all we know.
As for having a worse remaining 9, that’s just not correct at all. As it stands we have multiple ways to structure an XI that are better than our best XI from last season.
Also, just watch what happens tomorrow as it’s going to blow your socks off I reckon!

Montiel is a right back and Aina is not better than Lodi. The Greek lad in fairness has played 150 times for Benfica so you may have a point with that one. Is Montiel better than Aurier?
We could play a 4-2-3-1 and drop Yates and Worrall and that would make it more progressive and on par probably last season providing we keep Brennan of course.

Morpeth I do agree if signings come off we could have a much better 11 than last season but that is IF. We have dragged our feet with transfers so much already this season.

First XI is arguable.
Turner, Santos, Aina, Murillo, Montiel are some good players who may be better than what we had.
If you’re going to whine on though a day before the window actually closes then it’s not really a serious discussion anyway.

Turner and Aina are not arguable. Montiel could be better than aurier. Santos could be better than Yates and not sure Murillo is better than Felipe and Niakhate. However my opinion could change tomorrow I agree as it all depends who we sign. If we lose Johnson though that’s a serious setback.
