Deadly duo?

I think this could work, it's a good blend of managements styles. I can see Martin consoling a player after a defeat, "unlucky son, you did your best", "but boss, I scored two own goals and got sent off!", "Ah you did your best". Where as Roy Keane, "What the f*ck was that you f*cking useless f*cking c*nt!!!!".

Just getting rid of the rust for when Fawaz sacks Billy next year for finishing 7th and we need a new management team

As an Ireland fan, if this turns out to be true, I may spontaneously combust with delight.

It's the classic "good cop, bad cop" combination.

More like Bad Cop and Badder Cop.
MoN and Robbo worked because Robbo was the Good Cop.
Can't see MoN and Keane working at all, or at lease not for very long.

They'll get fired when they fail to make the World Cup and Euros again, and nobody will come to think it's because they haven't got enough good players.

Not good enough players? That's getting the excuses in early. Any international attack that can choose from Simon Cox and Connor Sammon will surely have opposing defences quaking in their boots!

It will either go very well or be a disaster. Probably the latter. The football won't be pretty, as it rarely is with O'Neill. Cox and Sammon will never be in contention for a starting place, a combination of Stokes/Long or Long/Robbie Keane is most likely. Hoolahan is another good option.

Get the feeling that this is Roy Keane's final chance at management, albeit as assistant. One things for sure - it won't be boring.
