Decent player from what I remember - may he RIP and condolences to his family.

That is terrible news - he had come up through the ranks at Espanyol to captain the team.

A decent player as well, from what I remember of seeing him play.

After Puerta of Sevilla who suffered a heart attack at the age of 22, he's the second top-flight spanish player to have passed away like this; I'm not sure what could be done to prevent such tragedies though?

While the small number of deaths and near-misses (Phil O'Donnell of Hearts, and near-miss Clive Clarke of Leicester, anyone) don't make a definitive pattern, there seems to be a growing trend of footballers collapsing and passing away suddenly.

Hopefully with every recurrence of this awful tragedy, something can be learned, and some future losses can be prevented.

A respectful moment of pause, thought and respect is offered toward his family and friends at this time.
