Didn't realise he had been with us for 5 years.

Shame he is on his way but at 32 (33 in May) he probably has one decent season left in him and was never going to be a long term option for us. If Wigan want to offer him a 2 or 3 year deal then good luck to them.

Karanka really should have moved him on in the Summer.

Good move, his attitude is good, but he was brought in as a left back who turned out not to be able to play left back (Harding, who he replaced again, was much better) and just about managed to get by as an average centre half.

300k for a player who is 32 and out of contract in the summer isn't a bad fee.

They have conceded 2 goals with him on the pitch in his 5 games.

He's been off injured twice though.
