Been coming a while.

Pictures, video or a linky?

I don't believe it's true, I just think he's been sitting on a couple of nob-gags for ages and couldn't wait any longer...

Holy shit, what do they expect?

Small time club with 1500 gates expecting another promotion? Tossers.

EDIT: just seen by mutual consent. They're still tossers though.

Doesn't anybody spell knob with a 'k'? I do, as seen here. There was a time when it was in some dictionary as slang under k, but not under n. So whatever has happened since I think the k is more traditional.

the one with a silent "K" is for handles, isn't it? Without is more phallic.

Without is a slang term for some one who is a bit posh, it is a shortening of 'nobility' hence the posh part of town was often known as 'nob hill'.

So I believe knob is the correct spelling for all things phalic.

So if knob means penis and nob means posh, using the compound "nob-gags" to refer to Mansfield couldn't have been further from the truth, could it?

From what I can gather, knowing a load of Stags, the club had reached a massive low point and Cox had no choice than to do the honourable thing.
He made a statement saying he had considered resigning before now and admitted he had gone stale in the position (evident in the teams performances), but John Radford talked him around into staying.

Decent bloke by all accounts but the time was right to move on. Most Stags have shown gratitude to him for getting them back into the Football League during his departure.

Be interesting to see what they do now.
As much as some of their fans annoy me and the town itself is beyond depressing, they are local to me and I hope they do well.

He had his hands tied as soon as last season ended. Think the chairman expected to go straight up again and when that didn't happen, he had to cut costs drastically. Among other things, this season he's got rid of laundry and catering. The players have to wash their own kits and feed themselves on matchdays - which has meant bringing their own packed lunches to away games. It's completely demoralised the dressing room. Amateurism, really.

Paul's a good manager and will be back in work in no time.

He's done well for Mansfield getting them and keeping them away from the drop zone. There's a whole bunch of ex league pro clubs are in the Conference who think they should be in the league but are stuck.
