Clough Documentary

As much as I can see your point, I think it's a bit of a scouse idea. The spontaneous Clough chants are always the best, home or away. What I would love to see however, is a flag with his face on it (Which admittely is what the scousers do as well  )

I always thought the green sweatshirts with a 1 on the back said it all.

Thank you for this thread, has brightened up an otherwise dull day in sunny Afghanistan. Rewatched some great docs' oh and I think I got some dust in my eye too.

Good/Sad memories. Right, I'm off to beast the Mrs for slacking with the hoover. It's clearly as dusty in my home office as it is Afghanistan.

I think a flag or banner( I remember the impressive tom finney one a couple of years ago) would be a good idea, we have history many don't, a suggestion to the club perhaps, maybe on the empty seats near the away fans. Away who knows, we usual fill the allocation.

I think a big banner with Cloughie on it would be a good idea. As others have said we have a great history. We need to celebrate it more.

Fair play to those Sheff United fans. Maybe it's a bit mean that we don't like them very much.

Barry Davies = best commentator.

I remember staying for an hour after that game. I was on the receiving end of an almighty bollocking from my mate's Mum who had been trying to wait in the lay-by at the top of Radcliffe Road to pick us up.

Yeah, Barry Davies top man too ... "I know as a commentator you should be unbiased but I couldn't help wanting Nottingham Forest to win, they had to, to stand any chance of staying up ..."

Thanks forest forever.

It seemed like everyone was reading those Cloughie the Legend Evening Post pull-outs I mentioned. I realise reading it again they were published with a couple of games to go. Great value for £1.

I could hear a few "Nigel, Nigel, Nigel, Nigel" chants.

Nice touch from Davies in the interview.

Enjoy mate, if you need anything else let me, must have 6 or 7 programmes archived.
I do have loads of clips etc on website but I cannot find anywhere anymore the promotion game at Peterborough in 1994 ... so if you have that to upload onto YT, that would be appreciated.
Other than that ... lost a few very random ones I once had ... nostalgic reasons etc ... 23/9/72 - Forest v Villa (was on old ATV, Star Soccer) and some amusing commentary from dear old Hugh Johns, then somewhere in newsreel archives only as not televised, Forest v Man City FA Cup 1974... & a game where we somehow got home alive (just) ... Liverpool (a) league cup semi final 2nd leg 1980 ... cheers Neil

His commentary of the 1970 World Cup Final was fantastic:

"It's the 21st of June 1970....and all roads lead to the Azteca".

Spine-tingling stuff. He could express an entire opinion in just one word.

The great Brian Moore did a documentary of Brian Clough in the late 90s for Sky but no one seems to have it on DVD or VHS.
