Especially pleased as left back Tom Naylor is the son of one of my old coaches at Forest Paul Naylor so we've seen him grow and progress from a 6 year old boy.

Weird affinity in that they are probably (now) the nearest football league side to me and are also the only game I've ever managed to get my wife to - I had to almost die for the pleasure.

(A poor game, a preseason under Davis iirc - was the one where he tried to sign a recently signed for them Sam Clucas after it, and I realised Gueddiora might actually be a bit all style and no substance. Did we draw? I don't remember us winning.)

Yes-I went to it and it was 1-1.
Forest were expected to make a push for promotion but after a decent first half of the season I’m afraid a ludicrous injury list (sound familiar?) took its toll and we finished 11th.

Just think, if Derby blow their promotion push (), Chesterfield could prove themselves the best team in Derbyshire in a couple of seasons.
