How did Drogba stay on his feet long enough to score, that's what I want to know?

Drogba now pretending he's been kicked in the knackers.

Pathetic.

The way he bounced was pretty funny though.

How have Barcelona not scored there? Chelsea had one shot on target all night and scored from it.

Possibly a different game next week though!

I hope Barca absolutely smash them next week.

Tyldesley for once made a good point - it's a pretty tight pitch at Chelsea but the Barca one is vast.

Hope neither of the Spanish clubs get through so we can have England vs Germany :D

I can see your point but Germany would only win, again. :(

Their passing is clinical. I swear Forest would beat them because they'd be baffled at the ball not being in the ground 75% of the time :D

Great win for Chelsea! Barcelona had loads of chances to score but Chelsea just wouldn't let them through.

I'll always back English teams over foreign opposition. Unless it's Derby of course!

Would love to see Roberto Di Matteo's Chelsea beat Jose Mourinho's Madrid in the Final.

Don't like it when people try to tell you that if you don't like Barca then you're somehow a hater of good football.

Absolutely.

As I've said elsewhere, I don't find Barcelona particularly exciting to watch. I appreciate their technical brilliance, but hundreds and hundreds of 5-yard passes around the centre circle doesn't do that much for me.

Also, the media love-in is a piss take. The reporter on the BBC just said:
"It's only a football match. 11 versus 11. Well, only until Barcelona actually start playing"

They're not even top of their domestic league and yet people spunk on about them being the best team in the world... I just don't get it?

Pitch sizes are about the same apparently. Barca's is a yard or two longer.

But on the evidence of tonight they're so much better than the remaining Premier League team in the competition.
Chelsea achieved a great result tonight through a combination of determined backs-to-the-wall defending, time wasting and poor finishing from Barca.
However, they were very clearly second best throughout.

The evidence? You realise Chelsea won the match, right?

The aim of football is to put the ball in the net more times than the other team. Barcelona didn't have the quality to do that last night, they didn't even get it in once.

Sarcasm aside, read my post again. I said I appreciate their technical brilliance, but I didn't find them exciting to watch, and the media love-in gets tiresome. That's all.

They could play amazing football, but the constant fawning over them by the media puts me right off. On Twitter, I used to follow the journo who did the BBC Sport live text, but he's forever tweeting how amazing Barca are. Give it a f***ing rest!

However, what's even more tiresome is the media love in that we should be pleased an English team might go through.

It happened after the Napoli game moreso than this but still. I hate English clubs in Europe.

Look at it this way, the sooner Chelsea win the Champions League, the sooner Ambramovich will f*** off and Chelsea will again become poor and shit.

They arent an exciting team to watch, they sort of win by attrition. They are fantastic at keeping possession, and passing it around really.

They dont really fly forwards, its all about patient passing and build up.

Im with you on the media love in, its well annoying. They are one of the worst teams for diving and gamesmanship, but its usually overlooked because they win everything.

Last night drogbas diving was shambolic, but barca fell to the floor theatrically almost as frequently.

The reason why Barca have become boring to some people is down to the way people now set up against them with 10 defenders, surely?

I think the last team I saw who tried to 'play' against them got tonked 7-1.
