On 5Live they said when Sheff Utd made the substitutions that Clough was accepting they might not get back into it and so resting players ahead of important league games and the Preston replay where they'll be trying to get a home tie against Man Utd. I can't remember who the commentator was, but Kilbane was co-commentator. Like hell Clough would give up on a the semi-final of a League Cup twenty minutes with twenty minutes to go. Within five minutes Adams had scored twice and levelled it up.
