It has been made public that our former coach, Charlie McParland, has suffered a heart attack.

Despite the fact that I've been less than kind towards him in terms of some the comments he made in his role as a local TV pundit, I sincerely wish him a speedy recovery.

Talks right f***ing bollocks but sounds like he's recovering well so that's good.

All the best to him in his recovery.

I think he comes across as a massive tosser. But wouldn't wish this on him and family.

I know people who know him well and he’s one of those people who you either love him or hate him. Stuck in his ways in relation to football and won’t ever change but he’s alright in my books.

Agree with the above sentiments. However someone comes across, the last thing to wish on them would be health problems; puts everything else into context.

Agreed, not everyones cup of tea, but I've always found him a great laugh away from the football pitch.

Lets hope he has a speedy recovery.

That stretch with Frankie Barlow lifted Forest I think, it was nice to have something to celebrate a bit after a few years of nonsense. I was about 13 at the time.

God speed Charlie

Saw him score quite a few at Notts. Remember one hat trick against the Stags in a 5-0 win. Think Warnock moved him on with Birtles and Mills when he brought in his team of sh#thouses.

Yeah sometimes I've seen clips and read some of his comments. Does work for Notts TV right?

He turns up once a week during the football season and gives his opinions; actually working for the channel is probably stretching it a bit.
