Championship Transfers 2014

Collymore!

Thought I'd make a quick thread to keep track on what other teams are doing, after seeing a couple of articles. Seems like many teams are going to be going down our route of slimming their squads and trying to add quality!

Blackpool have released:

Michael Chopra, Robert Earnshaw, Louis Almond, Anderson Banvo, Kirk Broadfoot, Jake Caprice, James Caton, Adam Dodd, Nathan Eccleston, Elliot Grandin, Mark Halstead, Faris Haroun, Chris Kettings, Liam Tomsett, Nathan Tyson and Tony Warner.

Leeds United have released:

Michael Brown, El-Hadji Diouf, Danny Pugh, Luke Varney, Jamie Ashdown, Adam Drury, Paul Green, Simon Lenighan, Nathan Turner, Lewis Turner, Richard Bryan, Smith Tiesse and Gboly Ariyibi.

Middlesbrough have released:

Jayson Leutwiler, Lewis Sirrell, Birger Meling, Jake Fowler, Cameron Park, Matthew Waters.

Reading have released:

Jobi McAnuff, Mikele Leigertwood, Wayne Bridge, Kaspars Gorkss and Stuart Taylor.

I'll pop others up as as I find them... please feel free to help!

Edit: Thinking about it there's probably a Sky Sports page which is doing this, so probably pointless!

Never heard of any of those Middlesborough players, Blackpool on the other hand have apparently got six players signed for next season, with contract offers made to 8 existing players.

Sign of the times?

No wonder my post count..
Elliot Grandin worth a punt? He looked decent when Holloway was their manager, still only 26.

Yeah, I remember us being linked in Jan. Maybe we just held off till now.

Gotta laugh at Blackpool now though. Look at this squad:

Mind you, I remember ours looking a bit similar when we hired SoD, but still, we replaced the absentees with a decent squad. Blackpool need to spend a fair bit to stay up next season and I'd be very surprised if they did.

Blackpool's owners are completely mental. They even offered billy davies a job a few years ago. You'd have to be... oh. Never mind.

They've an asset in tom ince though so maybe the owner won't have to dig deep

They need some serious investment - not in terms of cash but in terms of bodies.

Mind you, Gilks, Cathcart, McMahon, Basham, Perkins, Osbourne and Davies are good enough for this league if the height of your ambitions are to avoid relegation, so they're not as far away as we were when we were trying to make top six starting with a squad that compromised of Camp, Moloney, McGugan, Greening, Majewski, Reid, Blackstock.

I'm sure Wayne Bridge will be worried; as he reclines on his mattress made of £50 notes whilst being fed grapes by his model girlfriend.
