Mother in Law used to live in Bargate Grimsby. The only saving grace visiting her was the fish 'n' chips from round the corner. Best ever. Wish I could say the same of MiL!

Never been to the ground. They were not in the League when I did the 92.

Hope we send out our strongest team, they have to get used to playing together and also get match fit. Plus it wouldn't do our fragile confidence any good to lose at this stage of the tournament. After all, now we are Premier League, this is one of our targets each season! Silverware.

I've often wondered how those rides on the beach have never been swept away by high tides.

They’re dug very deep, and it’s rare for the tide to come in to where they’re situated. They’re on a section of the beach that generally holds the tide line about 40 yards from the back.

I'm love beer, straight forward IPA or bitter brewed by proper old fashioned brewers.

I see all sorts of odd beers about these days. Just what is 'craft beer'?

Usually it’s small brewery, small batch, high quality ingredients, higher than usual alcohol content and very tasty on the whole. It’s nothing new, it’s just being done more and more often so someone gave it that label. In a pub it costs about a pound more for a pint than normal beer or lager but in cans it’s usually £4-7 per can (440ml).

I'll believe you, but the stuff I see pilled on to supermarket shelves seems to have ingredients which shouldn't be seen within a mile of any brewery unless they are pandering to those who look for novelty rather than beer.

My mate works sells malt for a living and was at some craft brewing convention yesterday in London

The beard to non bread ratio was off the scale, I imagine the amount of fixies out in the bike park was similar.

I'm always amazed when i come back to Notts at how many Castle Rock pubs there are. All have a independent feel to them and sell a great range of beer (are they craft) i think they span the divide. There aren't many cities about that have a local brewery that's got such a good offer..

We lost 4-3 there under platt. Beasant and hjelde got sent off. Prutton could have followed too!

No I had a look and it was this one I was thinking of.

Bopp the victim of an appalling straight red for Tony Gallimore and a DJ hat-trick

Edit: my 17th birthday too. Not one of the more memorable ones obviously!

I went to that, was a great away day.
I sat with the Grimsby fans (my brother lives in the area)-the home support were very impressed with
Michael Dawson (who had just broken into the side). It doesn’t seem like 20 years ago!
It’s a shame the Paul Hart team got broken up.

Around Norfolk most local breweries got swallowed up in the great amalgamation of the early 60s. But asking for a proper pint in a pub just outside Yarmouth couple of weekends ago I discovered that Lacons is still in existence; it was one of the independents in the 50s when I was just getting a taste for it.

You couldn't make up some of these ties.

Man City v Liverpool in the 4th round.

Man Utd v Burnley. Vincent Kompany as an ex Man City player and now Burnley manager.

Newcastle v Bournemouth. Eddie Howe at his old club.

Forest play Blackburn away. Brereton against his old club.

Anyone could win this cup.
