I doubt we will sign both him and Samba, and seeing as though it seems like the Samba deal is pretty much done I don't see Carson coming here. He was probably the back up option in case the Samba signing didn't happen.

It was reported by Pete O'Rourke that we were interested, but nothing to say he was definitely signing.
I don't doubt that we have considered him (as O'Rourke is pretty reliable) but he was most likely the back up option to Brice Samba (who is supposedly signing for us today).
Some people will just see the headline "Forest interested in Derby keeper" and go straight into meltdown mode, of course...
