My physio, whom I see once a week for work on my new knee, was a member of the physio team for a Premier Rugby Union club a few years ago.
She was explaining the severity of Britt's injury, which she said he should make a full recovery from, provided he is given time.
She packed in with the Rugby club because of the pressure to get players back on the pitch before she and the other physios thought the player was ready with, as a consequence, the inevitable recurrence of the injury, and more time on the treatment table and more pressure on the physios to get the player back on his feet.
Recognize the pattern from our previous injury problems?
I know that Britt will be getting daily input and the best medical input into his rehabilitation.
I just hope that the Club recognize the need to allow their £5.5m investment recover fully before trying to get him back on the pitch in competitive games.
We have him on a 5 year contract, and even if we lose a full year or more, surely the longer term benefits will be best served if he is allowed to recover fully.
You clearly didn't watch the video...

Dougie at least recognises that we've been rushing players back too soon and over-working the crumbly ones on the training ground.
"I am planning for the likes of Andy Reid and Chris Cohen to be fit for the start of next season. Andy Reid definitely and Chris hopefully, at least. I have had a chat with these players and we have to manage the situation a little bit better, when it comes to when they play and how they train.
"Modern training is very intense and, possibly, some players will not be able to train at the intensity that is required.
"If you are training on my training ground, you are going to train with that intensity or you are not. Sometimes it is better not to train, but to keep your energy for Saturday.
"That is something we will need to manage with Andy and Chris next season."
