Am I missing something with Wayne Hennessey?

What's his Forest connection?

I thought he joined us on loan ages ago and didn't play but appears that seems to be limited to Federici and Konstantopolous

Yeah I can't remember us ever signing Hennessey or even being linked.

We signed Ben Hamer but didn't actually sign him in the list of players that played for us but didn't.

Neco Williams is such a quality full/wing-back.

Fulham did well to get him on loan in January. Liverpool wanted him as backup to Alexander-Arnold but Williams wanted regular game time.

You hope if we don't go up next year we will be in a position to attract that kind of player.

Was thinking the same thing.

If Spence heads off (which we suspect will be the case), Neco Williams or someone similar would be just the ticket as a replacement.

Happy not to see too much of Brennan tonight (well, nothing, as I was just checking BBC Sport and listened to the last couple of minutes, but anyway)

* brought on after 88 minutes - manager saying he hasn't forgotten him,

* didn't get injured

* still nearly scored at the death

Lets hope Brennan has been getting some FK tips from Bale!

I'm sure I saw him scoring cracking free kicks for the u-23s a few years ago.

I'd expect him to take a few for the first team, though Garner is clearly first choice.

They should have brought him on earlier, Dan James woefully messing up some glorious chances to wrap it up.

I'm looking at Dan James from a few years ago at Swansea, to Man Utd, and Leeds and I wouldn't say he's gone backwards but he's stagnated in my opinion.

He shows a lot of pace like Brennan but his decision making is still well off at times.

Like you say, I'd rather have seen Brennan come on earlier to replace him. Gives Robert Page something to think about when Brennan does eventually reach the Premier League.

I'd love to see Brennan burning up the pitch for Wales, but after he's helped us to promotion.

I worried that he'd play from the start today and get injured.

I am worried he will play in the friendly on Tuesday. The last 10 games are going to be punishing, so a midweek match before the weekend is not ideal, not to mention the risk of getting injured even in a friendly.

There is a picture here titled Nottingham Forest's Wayne Hennesey - https://www.alamy.com/nottingham-forests-wayne-hennessey-image382425566.html but of course it's incorrect. The picture is dated July 26th 2019. He played for Palace a week before in a friendly against us. The picture though shows one of the keepers of our opponente on July 26th 2019, Real Sociedad.

We were linked with Hennesey last summer but he went to Burnley.

Hennessey was in goal for Yeovil when we lost to them in the playoffs. He was on loan with them.

I can't see anything to suggest he has spent any time with us.

His Cousin is Terry hennessey our former keeper.

I'd always wondered if they were related.

He would have done his prospects a great deal of good if he'd stuck that last minute chance into the bottom corner.
It looked easy enough!
