Borna Barisic

Can't say I know much about him. Hard not to be a bit sceptical about the possibility of a 30-year old from the SPL though.

More chance of Borna Coric with a Barista

More chance of Borna Sosa.

Some insight from north of the border :

Has anyone been guilty of making as many mistakes in Old Firm games than Barisic in the five years he’s been at Ibrox?

The Croatia international has been an absolute liability at times, switching off when marking some of the best attacking players in the league.

While going forward, he’s probably the best left-back in the Scottish Premiership, the frailties when defending are too much to bare in the big games.

If we get £2million for a player in his 30s who’ll be out of contract next year, that will be amazing business by the Light Blues.

Toffolo would be a safer bet...

Have they signed Panzo yet?

I'm fine with an experienced head coming in if we are, as it seems, backing Omar Richards to make the spot his own. Just hope we get someone solid defensively - not sure about this guy in that respect, though he's played quite a bit for a decent Croatia side so fingers crossed.

Unsurprisingly, doesn't replicate his assist rate in the SPL (one in three games!) at international level.

He’s not first choice for Croatia either.

They haven't signed Panzo yet so wonder if there's a link/compromise being reached around that deal with relation to this one - perhaps they don't to pay what we want but would deal on this guy at a reduced price?

Very underwhelming but I guess this suggests they have real faith in Richards as a starting LB.

If we want to keep Richards around and play him, then with Toff sidelined we have Neco as an option too.

If signing someone like this gives us the cash to bring in top quality elsewhere, I trust the judgement that Richards can start.

Who cares what’s Rangers fans think, they called Ross Wilson shite but the first thing he did for us was sell someone with a year left on his contract for 5m.

Toffolo came in as a makeweight in the LOB deal and did ok when called upon, I’d imagine this lad will be more than good enough as back up LB, 2M is nothing for a PL side too.

Not every signing is going to be a Danilo or MGW.
