Last night I paid for train tickets from Newark to Kings Cross for QPR match on Saturday 30th October.

Today they change it to Friday 29th.

Bastards.

Yep, that's annoying. Even if you were planning to go down the night before and stay in a hotel, you'd need to do that earlier for an evening kick off.

At least that week is half term so if you were taking the sprogs you don't need to worry too much about school as well.

People don't think about that when moving fixtures do they?

Realised it's school holidays so can still make it, just need to change booking on-line. Easy enough to change outward journey. But no return journey until 5.55am Saturday as tickets for the the 23.33 are not available to buy.

Refund isn't an available option either.

So much for being encouraged to buy train tickets early.

Yes I'd just realised it's half term. May look for some cheap digs, or may look at some lower league fixtures for the Saturday, let us all get a new ground ticked off.

Yep, Or have some time taking them places to see like the Eye, Science Museum etc... Plenty for all ages down there.

Yes, done a lot of them on previous awaydays through the years. Normally aim to get there for about 9am and do something before the match. And then take our time returning getting back to the car at Stanmore or Wembley Park around 8:30-ish, or a train at a similar time.

Crawley v Port Vale
Orient v Hartlepool
Sutton United v Walsall
Charlton v Doncaster
Tottenham v Man U.

Been to Orient and Charlton. Don't fancy Sutton to be around too long, and can't stand Tottenham or Man U. So Crawley looks most likely if I do decide to go down that route.

Do Sutton, different ground and you might actually see a team beat Walsall.

Another match I’m missing as on holiday. I would have made the Saturday game.
My season tickets are looking poorer value ( and that’s not accounting for the dross on display)

Didn’t know Cud were still touring, I’ll have to catch them for old times sake.

Nice McCarthy username

Yes mate. Still touring, as are the ever brilliant Wedding Present & Blue Aeroplanes. The Weddoes are playing Rock City in November. And McCarthy were ace.

My brother visited recently and we were on about all those bands and played a few of them, agreeing that Leggy Mambo was a brilliant album :)
