A very tenuous connection - more of an observation but while Blackburn striker BB is playing for Chile, Panama have a striker named Ronaldo Blackburn, who plays for the wonderfully named club, The Strongest in Bolivia

I'm hoping he does well enough to earn himself a lucrative transfer in the summer so we can rake in a bit of money from our sell on clause.

So do I, I'm hoping the Barcelona owner is put under pressure and leases the car park at the Nou Camp for the 9th time to pay a ludicrous fee for him meaning we don't have to sell Johnson...

Not scored for Blackburn for 7 games, Looked shite against us. Has he returned to mediocrity after a purple patch?

Apparently he's now done his ankle ligaments and is set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines - so not going to be returning to form any time soon.

After missing Blackburn's last 7 matches with injury, Chile started him v Uruguay last night. Bet Mowbray loved that :D

Strongly linked with a move to Sevilla in La Liga in the summer.

Nice move for him. Great city, top club, tonnes of £.

Can't edit, but looks like Blackburn have an option to extend a year, so no doubt they'll trigger than and then sell him for a fee.

Seeing the bid coming in for BB just makes me glad that Murphs had the sense to hang on to Johnson this year. Just look at the difference it's made for us.

Not sure he would have stayed under the previous setup.

Sevilla would be a cracking move for the lad. A few extra quid in the bank for us too. Hopefully Matty Cash moves for big money in the summer too.

Is Ben injured or just gone off the boil? Can't say I've heard much about him lately.

Good luck to him , though, you have to make the best of a short career if you're not Pele or some other hot star.

Both

He was injured at the start of the year, he came back when we beat them 2-0 and he has hardly scored since.

Aye, paid for Surridge

...and to be honest I'm not sure I'd take Brereton over Surridge even at this stage with all the Chile hype.
Surridge is a slightly unknown quantity but has the sort of finishing ability that you only come across once in a blue moon. Brereton doesn't have that.
