Atmosphere/Attendance Wednesday away.

Good support from the Forest fans who made the trip to Hillsborough shame about the result once again. Atmosphere was good from our fans, made more noise than Wednesday's fans.

Was a great atmosphere. Thought they represented our home crowd pretty well. Poor attendance on their part and lack of any sort of home atmosphere.

How many did we take?

I would guess about 4k. The away upper tier apparently holds 5k and while it was no way packed to the rafters I'd uess it was 4/5 full. Not bad really for a tuesday night with the team doing badly in the league.

It was an excellent atmosphere as is the norm for away matches.

Just wish I could attend more.

As far as I am aware we were only allocated just over 3,000 tickets and I'm pretty sure we didn't sell out, but we created a very good atmosphere. I was on the very back row and it looked and sounded great from where I was. The home fans made no noise whatsoever which was a little disappointing but a lot of grounds are the same these days. I would say we took around 2 - 2,500 fans which is very good for a Tuesday night, especially given our current situation.

ID say around 3000 were there. Atmosphere was decent and sounded loud becasue of the way the roof is on that stand, wednesday poor really.

There was pay on the gate also though which clearly swelled the travelling support. The upper tier although not totally packed to its 5k capacity was certainly more than half full.

i was quite impressed with our following last night given the credit crunch & tuesday night factors. i didnt get to the ground until 5 minutes after kick off but there were still some pretty big queues for the pay by cash turnstiles. it was certainly our loudest vocal backing away from home this season. 8)

It's a shame that whole stand of away support we had can't take up all of the Trent End instead of the whingers/quiet people/families. That might get the TE rocking again.

It was a good atmosphere and people seemed to appreciate the effort and that we actually played well 2nd half, which was nice.

I would say there was about 2,400 forest fans there, i was talking to my mate today whos a wednessday season ticket holder, he says he didnt hear us that much but i think the grounds massive, thats why.

The upper tier in the Leppings Lane end holds nearly 4500.

We'd sold around 2500 tickets on the Monday before the game so I'd say we'd have taken 3000+.

Says 3,700 on the internet football ground guide site.

Whoever designed the stands to have two massive poles in the middle is a bloody idiot!

we were sitting 2nd from front row and the 1st half was basically silent from both sides. Maybe the structure didnt help things but didnt think it was anything special, heard much better IMO

I was at the back and thought the atmosphere was good throughout the game.

I read yesterday that it held 4400ish, that might've been including the corner bit, though. Still I'd still say there was 3k+ there.

You could not have gone to Preston away the other week then? The atmosphere there was 10 times as better than at Wednesday!

Personally thought the atmosphere was awful.

Too say we had 3,000+ fans there, it sounded like 300. Apart from when we had a corner/chance, or sang 'we'll never be mastered by you yorkshire bastards' etc.

Good following, poor atmosphere.

Really pisses me off at away games when people sit down. We have to put up with enough of that at the CG.

That for me was the worst atmosphere I have ever experienced at Hillsborough. Been many times over the years and Tues was very poor.

That stand is one of the best in the country for the atmosphere that can be generated from it and we provided nothing. OK not much on the pitch or from there fans to entice an atmosphere but what comes first the chicken or the egg?

I was near the back towards the left hand side, thought the 'atomsphere' was non existant. Apart from the 2 instances in the 2nd half when we nearly scored from efforts that their keeper tipped over the bar, it was silent.

I missed the 1st 10 minutes queuing up, so perhaps I missed all the noise????

I thought that for the amount of fans we took our noise level was crap.I wonder how many of the fans at Sheffield were at Bury in the 70s when we sang Hello hello we are the Trent End boys for about 20 minutes non stop. Now that was support.

I rarely post (lurker) but recall that fantastic night at Bury...20 minutes of jumping and singing, scared the stewards and police as they thought the stand would come crashing down.....what ever happened to the old songs like we are nutters, the nutters from notts?
