Armand Traore

I always felt he really cared and put in a good shift, but you know what at this stage if Karanka doesn't see him in his plans then that's that.
One thing I admire is the managers ruthlessness to just get rid of these players, rather than just keeping them around for the sake of it.

He might have cared but he simply couldn't defend, Kieran.

I wouldn't have minded if he was playing left-wing but his mere presence and erratic movements had a serious negative affect on the balance of the defence, and his poor positioning created confusion amongst his fellow defenders and caused many goals because of it.

I'm just glad we can move on now.

Full on biscuit, certainly looked better going forwards than backwards, Traore was something of an enigma for me.

One week he looked alright, the next he bearly looked like a footballer. Looked really flat footed, jumped way to early for headers & jumped in & out of tackles depending on how he felt.

We're best out of it to be honest before another injury hits.

Found out earlier he played for Juventus, f***ing hell drink that one in chaps!

I’ve never seen a player with his leg up in the air so much. It was just freakishly weird and scared the shit out of me.. Made a career due to his Arsenal connections absolutely disgraceful.

Totally agree some really good games but like Mills, Mancienne and Fox - too many major f*** ups in their locker for them to be relied upon, especially from so called ‘experienced’ players.

...and he was reportedly a major disruptor of the other players, causing trouble at many, if not all, of the clubs at which he has played.
Clint Hill blamed Traore for many of the dressing room bust ups at Palace (or was it QPR?).
With his proneness to lots of minor niggling injuries and his weakness as a defender he was a liability when he did turn out for us.
OK, he did contribute going forward, but what a price to pay in terms of defensive lapses for the rare bit of twinkly toes forward play.
Our loss is our gain and Cardiff's loss...

That last sentence is an oxymoron and blows the mind but so true, shame really as i thought if he stayed fit hes be a real asset

Have Cardiff taken Armand Traore? Or just his arm?

Either way, his career is somewhat amazing. At age 16 he started a League Cup final for Arsenal. A few years later he played a few times for Juventus before later turning out for QPR in a certain Play off final made famous by a late Zamora winner. I wonder if he'll be one of those former players that looks back on their professional days with more than a little tinge of regret regarding what he has achieved? He's one of several Arsenal youngsters that have not only failed to fulfill their early potential at Premier League level, but have managed to do so with Forest too.

Possibly, but whilst doing so he will be no doubt reclining in a huge mansion, contemplating the millions he has salted away in the bank.

I will miss wondering where Traore is. :)

It's Baggio

Good riddance.

A biscuit, a bit of a shitbag but what struck me was how bad he was at some of the basics. Controlling the ball looked like a genuine effort at times.

I watched most of his games for us, I think I can count on one hand the number of times he used his right foot.

Unfortunately for him, his left foot was crap.

His positioning was so bad, I’m surprised he made it to Cardiff to sign. Would’ve expected to find him wandering around Somerset somewhere, looking like he didn’t have a care in the world.

The Traore Photoshop thread will provide us with laughs for years to come though, so every cloud and all that

Is that being made gold by the way?

We haven’t finished with him yet.... but it ought to be.
