NOTTINGHAM FOREST could be bought out by a consortium headed by Sam Allardyce.

It is understood that business associates close to Big Sam want to purchase the struggling Championship club now managed by Scot Colin Calderwood.

The former Bolton chief was only last week was linked to Portsmouth after Harry Redknapp's surprise switch to Tottenham.

But Allardyce has had no job offer since he left Newcastle ten months ago.

... Anyone believe this is just utter rubbish ?? i hope its Rubbish !

it would just mess the club up even more.. if there was a multi billionaire wanting to buy the club and he knows alot about the club, football and wanted to spend billions on the club then i would welcome him in ... But i like ND for what hes done so i hope this is aload of cr4p

Who's to say that, should this be true, Allardyce isn't the 'front' of a billionnaire-backed consortium?

As with any such rumours, it's worth:

(a) Finding out if they're true and
(b) Finding out all the details about it

... before either dismissing or celebrating the news.

i don't think ND would sell up when the club is on the up.
