I've sat with boro at the city ground and we drew 1-1. Andy Reid rattled the bar right in front of me and harewood equalised

Sat right next to the Bayern fans in the UEFA quarter final way back when

Sat with posh when we won 1-2

Worst experience was at Upton Park on a Tuesday night when we drew 1-1 again I believe and I literally had to sit in my hands to not get opened up. My mate was a hammer

Group of cockney teenagers were racist as sin, whenever harewood went down they were shouting 'cut the f***ing n*gga'(2 weeks later or so they signed him)

Another bad one was carling cup at white hart lane v Liverpool

One mate was a spud the other 3 were scoucers. They thought they would brave it and wear there red shirt(pricks)

They got found out within minutes and were literally dripping in spit after no time. Then lads started standing up like rabbits out of holes and the stewards got hold of them and told them to f*** off

I've walked around Derby Intu with various Forest shirts on. Hardcore, me.

Are the old Eastern Bloc fans worse than the Western ones?

Yes.

Far worse. It's like back to the 70s at some grounds, especially the further you go down the Leagues.

Home end in Reading's old Elm Park ground. They all knew we were Forest fans and didn't give a shit.

Too many to go through. But Gladys Street End at Everton on a very wet end of season midweek match when about 100 of us managed to get in and met at the back upper left before having a little sing song.

Chelsea opposite end to Shed where supposedly all their main men would be, I was in the stands that day but about 50 of the Mad Squad (Leeds fans nickname for us)ran those guys ragged for 20 minutes before getting thrown out and returning to massive applause when they got to the stands.

Remember these were the days when it was normal?!

According to one of the well known Chelsea book writers, Forest are the only northern team to take Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. I've read about that Everton incident as well, I'm they said only 3 teams ever attempted it and Forest were one of them.

This write up from a Wolves fan about Forest in 1976 is quite difficult to take in now. It's hard to believe it was ever that bad at the City Ground. It sounds like something out of Mad Max
Further down the thread it mentions the return fixture at Molineux.

Cloughies first game, FA cup replay, played a college football game in the afternoon at Elm Avenue in Newark, 4 of us drove straight to London after the game, parked miles away, got to ground just as it kicked off and only found one turnstile still open, the home end. Forest score, we just manage to contain ourselves, but spent rest of game feeling very nervous.

There are many on this very forum who still prefer the arseless-leather chaps look as popularised in George Miller's masterpiece.

Blackburn away for the 7-0. Fairly easy to keep quiet. Spurs away late 80s poss 90 boxing day when Pearce drilled in an injury time winner. Went mental with no hassle from the spuds. Everton away won 2-1. Got sussed early and was sure I was gonna get twatted

Still don't know how it bloody happened but me and my Dad ended up in the lower Executive with the West Ham fans in the early 80's I wanna say?? Game ended up 0-0 but I remember some West Ham fans kicked off in the Trent End. They got a heroes welcome as they were paraded around the ground into their own end. Remember we almost scored at the Bridgeford end and me and my Dad gave out the big "yehhh, ohhhhh" to many scowls and glares, Dad turns to me and says " No Bastard is touching us, today". I was probably 12 and remember that day as if it was yesterday.

Derby away at the Baseball Ground. for some reason they hadn't made it all ticket. we turned up at 'our end' to be told by the smirking coppers that it was full and basically to foot off. Undeterrred my mate and I swiftly covered our colours and managed to evade the lines of police and make it to the popside. we won the match and even (tongue in cheek) joined in the slagging off of Psycho. he was immense ! the sheep were not a happy flock that night unlike me and my mate Bob. nothing better than beating the sheep and taking the piss especially when they weren't even aware of it.

No no no no no! A razor is far too small for sheep and a shotgun is a waste of a good cartridge. This is what a good Shochet uses for slaughtering sheep.

I used to work in the head office of a London electrical retailer in the late 80s. My supervisor was an Arsenal fan, and we used to get freebies from JVC for games at Highbury.

Best was the 6th round FA cup tie. When Wilkinson belted in his goal I was about to bite my tongue clean in half, but suddenly 30-40 Forest fans who happened to be in same home section of the ground erupted around me. Needless to say it was a great day from that moment onwards.

Also got a free ticket from Candy for the semi at Hillsborough, sitting with scousers in the stand opposite the dugouts. No words to describe that one.

Most recently was this season's game against QPR. Having taken my 10 yo son to his first home game against Blackburn the week before, we were desperate to see the game and got tickets with their fans after our allocation was sold out. Thankfully my son has survived the double ordeal and can't wait for the season to start, although losing his favourite player in Britt will sting a bit.

They are called Payot and are a Biblically symbolic way of reminding a farmer to leave the edges of the field unharvested for the poor to gather corn. These days they are no more than a Frum fetish.

In the '60s - before the police finally cottoned-on to the realisation that it might be best to try and segregate rival sets of fans - ending up in the 'home' end on away trips was a very common occurance. The Kippax at Maine Road or the Boothen End at the Victoria Ground weren't places for faint-hearts, believe me.

Similarly, large numbers of away fans ending up in the Trent End wasn't unusual in those days.

When I was resident engineer in Athens a few years back - 2001 ? (don't you just love Greek Black Accounts.....) England came over to play one of their qualifiers (Euro, World ? I can't remember) There were a few mates came out so about 10 of us in total.
They were ripping off the away supporters on ticket prices so I used my limited Greek to get some cheap tickets in the home supporters sections at about 20% what they would have charged us.
We were all a bit concerned heading towards the Olympic Stadium in Maroussi, with all the bottles flying etc. But when we got to the gates the police herded us all in to the away support stand anyway so a good result.
I've never met a more phsycho bunch of nutters as some of the England fans. You could easily tell them in the crowd as there was a big gap around them - no one wanted to get near them once the game was underway
They kept us in the stadium for about 45 minutes after the final whistle to try and prevent any agro outside, but apparently the hooligan element had arranged for a set to with the locals at a venue a couple of stations towards the city. Talk about organized chaos !

I stood in Popside at the baseball Ground Derby when Lee Chapman stuck one past Shilton. We won 2-0, it was magic listening to those so called hard core of sheepies moaning and virtually crying during and after the game. So proud to see our fans in the away end behind the goal out sing Derby.

Was also in the Popside when we beat them 2-0 in '94. Been in a few home ends but this was my worst/best experience.

Brought a ticket off a tout outside but the shifty f*cker obviously saw my coming at he assured me it was in the Forest end and, keeping a low profile, I didn't bother checking.

First goal goes in (a Coops free-kick I think?) and loads of Reds go up with that 'can't help it we've scored' twitch. Slaps administered left, right and centre so quite proud of myself for NOT succumbing to said twitch.

No such luck with the second goal mind.

A beauty of an own goal from our very little own Judas, Gary Charles and up I go. I recall I saw my Dad over to my right going berserk on the other side of the railing and I just couldn't help myself. I clambered down to the stewards at the front, thankful for only a few shoves, to tell him quietly I'm in the wrong end hoping he'll have me lifted out by the Old Bill but the sh*epshagging b*stard just decides to let everyone know around me and that was it. Time to fight my way out to the back and run like merry hell out of the ground.

Top night out but boy did my bum go boo.
