All we are saying - is give Pearce a chant..

I wrote this for the Forest Chants thread a few weeks back & it's been stuck in my head ever since:

To Billy Joel's (or Fyfe Dangerfield if you like) "Always A Woman"

He can kill with a smile, he can wound with his eyes
He can break both your legs with his thunderous thighs
And he'll take us to places where we want to be
He's dressed in a suit but he'll always be Psycho to me

he was fierce in the tackle, he was England's first pick
He would get us a goal with a wicked free kick
He lifted us trophies at old Wemberley
No matter what happens he'll always be Psycho to me

Thoughts on whether it's a viable chant? :psycho:

It's a nice thought, but the reality of it is that about 40 seconds into the match the fans will be chanting "Everywhere we goooooo, everywhere we goooo". Then again on 4 minutes, then on 10 minutes and then... etc

How did the old one ''Psycho's got you number etc'' go?

Who does make new chants up and starts them?

Was in the Southbank with the missus last year when we played Ipswich and loads of people start singing

That's the worst coat
That's the worst coat
Thats the worst coat I've ever f***ing seen

Took my a minute to realise they were singing it at the missus, She was f***ing livid. I had joined in mind. Anyhow not sure why I typed this, just if it was anybody on here who started it well done

Are you sure it was 'coat' they were singing?

I went to Ilkeston and he didn't seem to respond to "psycho give us a wave" I think he's serious about dropping the psycho

It will be hard for him to hide it when nearly 30k are chanting it at the city ground, i'm sure it will give him a bit of a twitch on. Anyway I'm sure any displays of emotion will be kept reserved for opening day at the CG

Billy Joel is too awesome for some people but I'd be up for it.

It's brilliant TIm, but have you ever seen some of the clients in either singing block ?

Sorry not one for Pearce but one for derby that I've never heard before to the tune of Adams family

Your sister is your mother
Your uncle Is your brother
You all fuk one another
The derby family

I believe that the gentleman in question already has a perfectly serviceable signature chant.

My concern will be, will he continue to respond to it or has he gone all grown up now he's the boss?

My daughter has been practicing it for weeks, complete with fist pump, and I don't want to see her disappointed

The best part is that you unwittingly joined in!

Hopefully at this point Pearce will come over and drop kick the guilty ones
