I have no problem with a player sticking to his guns with his current club, it's the type of loyalty we'd like to see from our own players in similar situations

Moreno wasn't loyal in this case though, he wanted the move and let Forest and Betis spend a month thrashing out a deal before deciding to pull out on the eve of the medical. And now the deal might be back on the table if we offer him more money.
I prefer Cornet's stance; honest, upfront and wasting no one's time.

The only difference between what Verhoek and Moreno did is that the former got on the plane. They are both time wasters (not just for Forest, but for the clubs they were contracted to as well).
No doubting the lad is a good player, but I'm not keen on signing a player who thought it was acceptable to spend a month messing two football clubs about. Doesn't show much respect to either Forest or Betis IMO.

I've had a serious tidy-up in this thread because some people can't get beyond playground insults and some people can give it out but can't take it.
It's not the first time this sort of action has been necessary lately, and the way the new forum software works, the administrators and moderators are now knee-deep in removed posts that sit in a festering electronic bucket until we wade through and deal with them.
And it's a nice day and I'd rather be doing something less wholesome in the pub rather than this.
The ban hammer cupboard is unlocked.
