I’m going to reserve judgment until I see one of those graphs with the green lines on .

Looked at his stats earlier in the transfer window when trawling through the players in the Stellar agency. Injury swayed me off.

Interesting that it’s a player at a club we play against, and the mention of Monaco when we are looking at one of their LBs

Cheers @Heffing Psycho! ……..by the looks of it it would only take me a jiffy to colour the rest in as he’s got loads of green 👍

Gerrum in sharpish if not sooner 🙏

Based off no prior knowledge of the players and just looking at Whoscored ratings and appearances made last season, I'd prefer Truffert over Jakobs.

Truffert appears to be a first choice in Ligue 1 regularly turning in good performances, whereas Jakobs seems to be a development option who isn't yet a first choice, or performing to that high a level. Interested to hear the perspective of someone more informed than me though.

Already been capped for France at 21 and played through their youth teams. Looks a good prospect.

Shame he's either still got or has just got over a serious injury though and he didnt play a lot last season. Unfortunately it seems par for the course for most of our targets.

It seems unlikely given we're in advanced talks with Jakobs.

Even if you choose to accept every random and tenuous link as gospel, no it doesn't.

L’Équipe report that Ligue 1 side Rennes are poised to be open to selling French youth international left-back Adrien Truffert this summer.

The 21-year-old has appeared in the majority of SRFC’s matches so far this season and was the starting left-back for Bruno Génésio over the course of the campaign until suffering from an ankle injury recently which has most likely brought a premature end to his 2022/23 season.

Under contract with Rennes until June 2025, the Brittany side are open to the French youth international’s departure for a deal of around €15m, potentially excluding bonuses. Premier League side Aston Villa offered that sum to sign Truffert during the January window, a bid that was rejected by Rennes Sporting Director Florian Maurice

Buying all the left backs in the hope that one is ok.

This is a bit iffy to me, and sounds like Rennes regret not accepting the Villa bid.

Good player and sure he got a call up to the national side not too long ago.

Linked with Villa, West Ham and us and if they rejected €15m for him before they will probably want the same if not more given West Hams influx of cash.

Don't see this as happening unless they are interested in a swap for a Left back that is just back from a long absence or paddypower.

Seconded. Jakobs could be a good LWB/LW option to develop alongside him
