1-0 thanks to an Osong late goal, thats 9 unbeaten for our U18s now (including 6 wins)

Amazing progression. Up to 6th in our first season in Cat 1 with one of if not the youngest team in the league/country. Just the small matter of our first FA Youth Cup final as well.

Zach Abbott just made his England debut today in a 1-1 draw with Netherlands in the Montaigu Tournament in France.

Archie Gray is Andy Gray's son and Frank Gray's grandson.

Any way you slice it, that’s a fantastic achievement for the football club, and more so, a brilliant pointer to the future prospects of NFFC.

Fantastic from all concerned at „Youth“ level.

Look at that list of clubs.

That’s another fantastic achievement.

90th minute winner by Dale Taylor up at Burnley on Saturday. Thought it quite rich their coach saying we were aggressive since when we've played them from Cat 2 to the game earlier in the season they've bullied us with their physicality and style.

We just an intense pressing team that allows to try play front-foot football.

18s and 16s/15s playing Newcastle at the ND Academy this afternoon.

I'm surprised the shaggers aren't banging on about their league position there, it's the only thing they can boast about, for now.

Zach Abbot might have been born the day I lost my virginity.

Not to criticise the lads but, they are pro footballers, they are adults at U23 level, but admittedly still learning their trade.

Whilst an adults' team low down the pyramid is still adults, these guys presumably are what, postmen, etc etc who play football as a hobby largely.

I have much respect for the massive potential for the club the 18s and 23s have and the work the academy does in general - but should we be losing that?

We didn't start the best team and it seemed pretty comfortable until 2 late corners.

I wouldn't read too much into it. The staff know the plans for the players already.

True point. I guess the process is most important and losing the odd game happens to anyone.

Heard the final will be 6 May but we should hear very soon on that. Kick-off 7PM.

This confirmed yet Brian?
Still have my fingers crossed for a date that doesn’t clash with the first team - hoping to take my grandsons for a day out at Old Trafford.

Believe it is Wednesday 11 May now.

Man Utd were confident of 6 May but we didn't want that date. A Friday really might have got a few more Forest folk travelling.

Forest u18s beat Blackburn 3-2 at the ND Academy this afternoon

Joey Gardner with a brace and captain Jamie McDonnell with his first of the season.

8 wins and 2 draws in our last 10 games which include the FAYC QF and SF wins. Now up to 5th in the league with Man Utd, Blackburn, Liverpool & Man City ahead of us.

Another good day for the club. Brilliant to see the U18s doing well in the league and cup.

Shame the cup final is on a Wednesday night. Had it been on a weekend I'd have fancied going.

Watched the game and slightly disappointed particularly with Forest's attacking players. Thought Harbottle and Back were outstanding though.

We went to the game.
Absolutely flabbergasted:
1 £3 to park behind the BC stand... it's always been free before for these games;
2 £5 to buy a ticket (£2 for OAPs) - always been a walk in for free before;
3 Dreadful game with very poor play from Forest, with the Boro' lads clearly wanting to impress more.
4 Larsson looked to have a bit of class; Swann did very little; Konate did a Zinckernagel impression and ran all over the place but lost the ball repeatedly, and slowed up our attacking play;
5 Panzo looked slow and clumsy;
6 Harbottle looked a far better defender than Panzo;
7 Gibbs-Hammond lacked pace and end product;
8 Back looked good going forward but got caught out of position several times when defending;
9 Ollie Hammond looked quite decent when he came on.
All in all, if those players are our future... the future looks a bit bleak.

Agree with the player assessments. Thought that distribution from Shelvey was not too bad.

Agree on Shelvey.
He could do nothing about their goal, which was a cracking good strike.
One other grumble: there were a couple of dads with around half a dozen kids down at the front near the halfway line who should have been sterilised before fathering any children.
None of the kids was older than about 9.
They were hooligans of the future, swearing, screaming, running riot.
The dads just sat and failed to exert any parental control.
No Hope for those kids.
Those dads need to take a good look in the mirror.
