Pictures from today's training for the match against Everton. Judging by the number, this must be Aaron Donnelly. Two things, if so:

1. It's good that a youngster still trains with the first team (as does Oliver Hammond, if I'm not mistaken).
2. Donnelly is 19; in this picture he looks 25. Training for the Premier ages you prematurely, apparently.

Even Yatesy looked knackered the other day. I suspect they're putting a lot of stamina worked into them, that's what shags you out in the end.

Certainly looks like one of the oldest 19 yr olds I've seen play for us. But he seems to be coming forward and is on the fringes of first team at the same age earlier-developing kids (who can just dominate their peers because they're stronger for a bit) get caught up. No doubt he has a fair amount of talent and of course good LWBs are always going to be harder to find.

To make it clear for those viewing the thread for the first time, he's joined Port Vale on a six month loan.

Donnelly in for jones who Dosent even make the bench. No Harrison or Wilson again. Benning still in at LWB, is Donnelly a LWB or LCB if he’s playing LCB we still need a wing back. Going to struggle I think today with that 11

Donnelly is LB, LWB or LCB

Defensively the chances they had were from our errors ..
Donnelly did very well putting some great balls forwards and nearly scored with a howitzer .

Donnelly seems a good find and wants to get forward.

The club did a post match interview with him too.

Is that typical Irish accent? I'm not very good at distinguishing between British accents, not having lived there. It sounds very heavy to my ears.

Its typical of northern Ireland, generally harder to understand than Southern Island. If you want a laugh, try and understand a man from Belfast in Northern Island, thats the harshest accent in Ireland.
