A view from the Wednesday

Gary

No wonder my post count..
Interesting article.

Well written, especially this part:

"Davies is not a man to shy away from controversy and his touchline antics have seen him land in hot water both with the FA and the opposition bench, he was famously chastised at Pride Park by Owls boss Brian Laws after acting like an arse."

Well he is incorrect. The guy was a self-confessed D8rby fan.

I think we are starting to turn him though ;D

I can only go on what I'm told

his wikipedia backs that up, although i trust that about as much as I trust a ***** with my kid "Camp joined the club he supports Nottingham Forest on a three-month loan"

Aye, were it not for sharing a team with Psycho he would've been much more of a hero.

Or maybe less?

The whole team were heroes in an era where we were at Wembley several times a year.

A top player in his day and a top bloke off the field as well. Met him at the FA Cup tie at Pride Park last season as he was doing the game for Setanta and he was an absolute gent.

Do you lot still have that band that ruin England games

Yes and no, they recently "won" a vote conducted by the club which gets them back at games, although I'm against them and hope they don't return Saturday or any other bloody day

My housemates a wednesday fan (i'll be sat with him at the game on saturday in one of the wednesday stands...as i made him sit with the forest fans last time you were at the city ground), and he hates them too. Every time we watch an england game he goes off on a rant about how much they ruin the games :D

They play 2 songs, and only the chorus of them.

I fancied Laws for the Forest job when Davies got it. No regrets now, and I'm unsure as to whether anyone would have handled things better than Davies has but this game is definitely a 'may the best team win' job. Good luck to Brian and the Owls for the season. Just occured to me that I know very little about Wednesday these days. I shall educate myself tomorrow.
