24/25 Fixture Release Date - June 18th

With the transfer window slamming shut on the 30th August, we will have just two fixtures to showcase our last minute departures and attract our favoured last day deals!

On the 31st August we welcome another International break.

Who do we want for our first three fixtures?!

17/8 - Brighton (A) - a trip to the seaside and ten players in either Copa America or Europe (for Brighton) means they’ll likely have a limited pre-season.
24/8 - Leicester (H) - it would be nice to ensure they are firmly rooted to the bottom of the table on minus points.
31/8 - Everton (A) - will they continue to get away with it? Will the Saudi’s bail them out? If we think we’re in the shit it’s nothing compared to them (currently).

I couldn’t see a thread for the fixtures, so starting one here 👍🏼

Away game first please as I’m likely to be on holiday on the 17th August. Other than that, not fussed. We have to play everyone at some time.

Sounds good 👍
And also dependent on which PL players are injured coming out of the Euros.
At least we are free from having our players involved - unlike AFCON.

Will be nice to have at least 1 home game 1st last or Christmas - we've been away 1st and last the previous 2 seasons

Some things are certain when fixtures released:

1. We'll have to change at least 1 game due to playing at home the same day as County - why we always have to change it I don't know
2. We'll be at home when there's a cricket match on, which will also have to be changed
3. We'll have at least 2 fixtures away which are a very long journey, to be played on a weekday, early kick off or a Sunday
4. Brighton away will be in winter

There won't be any cricket clashes this year as the only potential clash would be the one day cup final on Sunday 22nd September, which would need a match to move to clash with it!

And that's before Sky stick their oar in.

Why can't they give the fixtures, under embargo, to Sky the day before, and say "you have 24 hours to pick your games until December" and then release the list to us plebs but nothing has to change and we can all make actual plans to actually attend and actually have an actual life?

It's not rocket science.

22/23 We started away at Newcastle and finished at Palace
Last season we started at Arsenal and finished at Burnley

I'd like to think in the balance of fairness that either the start, end or both this season will be at the WFCG

Yeh, we've been away for the 1st game, last game & boxing day (or Dec 27th) for the last 3 seasons now. Hopefully that switches back for next season.

And yes, for those unable to detect sarcasm, the fixture list is copyright of the Premier League, and these people are copyright fascists who take umbridge that anyone might be interested in the fixtures of their club via a method that isn’t controlled and potentially monetised by the League.

So, yeah, no copy and pasting the entire fixture list. The odd highlight is fine, but not the whole smash.

I think the TV companies do see the fixtures before release as they normally announce the live games for the first couple of months within a few days of the fixtures coming out.
