This was highlighted by the forensic accountant working with the Fans Trust. The PL disallowed a substantial amount at a very late date giving Forest no time to raise funds to cover it. The PL should be hung from the nearest tree for that alone.
Of course we were still able to cover it, though late, by selling our star player, that had been here since he was a kid.

The Premier League’s response: “f*** you, too late. Should have sold him to Spain for two thirds of the price to meet our deadline.”

Total wankers.

What's the reason we can't just go straight to C.A.S
Premier League rules provide for arbitration through through the independent panel and appeal process. (Rule W)

Arbitration (Rule X) can only follow once Rule W is exhausted but it is limited to courts empowered by Section 5 of the Arbitration Act 1996. Rule X specifically limits arbitration to courts with jurisdiction in England and Wales

X.2.2. that the seat of each such arbitration shall be in England and Wales;
X.2.3. that the issues in each such arbitration shall be decided in accordance
with English law; and
CAS would be explicitly prohibited under the following clause
X.2.4. that no other system or mode of arbitration will be invoked to resolve any
such dispute.

"Sky News are reporting 777 Partners have pushed back their target date for buying Everton to the end of next month and requested an extension to the repayment of a £160m loan related to its new stadium."

or should it read

777 haven't got the money
or
777 are waiting to see what league the toffees are in before putting their cash in
The repayment of the £160 million by 777 is doe next Monday. They have requested an extension for repayment until the end of May but that has yet to be agreed by the lenders.

The PL also want £60 million depositing into a separate account, to see the club through to the end of the season, and also want to see evidence that 777 have the funding to see completion of the new stadium.

Its got the whiff of a "Kirchner" all over it.

I wonder what reliance Everton placed on actual money from 777 when they prepared their (already dubious) numbers for the P&S commission hearing?

I see Kieran Maguire spouting a load of rubbish about us, saying that the wage bill is too high. and there is no sympathy for our breach now. he is a piece of work, he knows next to nothing about finances. repeatedly kept saying promotion bonuses are not included in PSR calculations. guess he was wrong. Our Wage Bill will be reduced quite a bit after the January window. Bonuses will be lower for staying in the PL.

Could feel the frustration in that!

Agree with all of it. Got told last week I will no longer have to do a task I’ve done for the last 3 years come next Jan. It’s about 10% of my job so the extra time back will be a huge bonus.

What are they replacing my work with? A 3rd party system costing over £1m a year. What. The. f***. Done up like kippers.

They can’t understand why I’m slightly miffed.

I Need to take that leap. Just don’t have the balls at the min. Sole earner for my family too so a big risk.

But full respect to you and Rubics, i’ll get there one day I guess.

Where is he saying this?

Our wage bill probably is too high to be fair. And all any of us can do is guess at what bonuses we have promised.

But yeah, I’m not at all convinced he’s any more of an authority on this stuff than the average internet schmuck.

Yeah there's no getting around that Bobster, the risk is always there. You can only do what's right for you but if you genuinely think you've got what it requires and the potential work there then go for it at some point.

I'll admit it took some years for it to finally pull together properly. A couple of times I thought about jacking it in but then the thought about working for more ungrateful obnoxious pricks pulled me through. I get a much better work life balance now too.

Nothing but respect mate. To be honest, that initial dip is the bit that holds me back ☹️

Our youngest is off to school in Sept and my wife’s going back to work so seems like the perfect time.

*Note to self; Must grow some balls.

I don't know whether you call it ballsy, entrepreneurial, f***ing mental or a mixture of all tbh .

The way I look at is, if it doesn't work out then you can always go back to working for someone else, if you were good and experienced anyway you'll get another job.

My advice is just make sure if there's anything that is going to accrue debt wise (obviously this and the scale will depend on your industry and work) ensure you go as a Limited Co. That way if the worst should happen then the debt can die with the company rather than you being saddled with it personally.
