Am I annoyed - yes of course I am
Am I acting like a drama queen - No - the reality is we have been screwed over by the EPL who have gone back on agreements - you watch as the shit now hits the fan.
You think a multi billionaire doesn't understand finance?
Have a word with yourself
Wind in the personal insults please.

We don’t do that here.

There is a massive difference between finance, and governance.

Governance is setting boundaries around what a business can do; from the simplest setting for financial gearing, all the way through business planning and auditing.

Simply throwing gargantuan sums of money at something without any clear strategy is absolutely not good governance. And it’s a governance failure that Forest have tripped over, because someone should have said „hang on, we can’t do this because the sums don’t add up“.

Indeed. Although that doesn't stop certain posters from blindly having a pop at anyone and everyone connected with the club.
I have not posted for a long time Otis but have dipped into the forum occasionally and can only say when you see how those certain posters are so one eyed I cannot even classify them as supporters. I am sure they do have some affinity for the club but greater affinity for the opinions that they will spout at every opportunity usually with absolutely no facts to back up their opinion. Stocky says a little later that we have the best owners in his 59 years and I would agree both in years and owners.

I am sure BJ would have gone to Madrid to play Champions League Football - turning down that offer now seems bizarre it would have saved us!!!

Nottingham's dirty secret
Right- can we stop all the negativity, be thankful we got a fairly lenient deduction & focus on what we're good at- creating the best atmosphere in the league

9 games.

f*** the toxicity- let's let Everton wallow in that & get what they deserve whilst we climb above them.

"Points deduction who gives a a f***,
the Reds are staying up!"

No surprise our argument around the Johnson sale was rejected then because at no point were we in a position to meet permitted losses.

£30m on the table from Brentford? Still £4m over allowed losses if that deal went through, still would have got a 3 point deduction (base), and probably wouldn't have got any mitigation either.

So we've basically got an extra 1pt deduction for £17.5m extra in the bank... and £47.5m extra on FFP allowance this year.

Overall it's a good deal... just a shame we overspent in the first place.

I just love how those with a dislike for the the owners are acting all surprised and getting on the soap boxes for another round of how dumb he is. The same posters that were saying "we deserve everything we get" a week or so ago are all of a sudden surprised, despite the fact that we got less than any of them predicted.

Aside from this retrospective posturing about how great some posters would be at running a club I'd probably just stick to your day jobs unless you have a spare billion knocking about? I'd appeal this decision, ridiculous not to in my opinion.

This one is pretty much a killer for the clubs position. We shouldn't appeal.

"The Commission noted that there were few documents that demonstrated what Forest was doing about its PSR issue. There were no board meeting minutes and only a few emails or messages included within disclosure. Most communications were apparently oral. Mr Bonser, the Finance Director at Forest, did produce some forecasts of its PSR position. The first was on 22 August 2022, the next was a week later and the next was on 29 September 2022. During this period, Forest was investing in players, so the PSR forecast was changing, but the last of these communications from Mr Bonser was forecasting a significant breach, absent intervention from the Club. These communications did not deter the Club from bringing further players in over the January 2023 transfer window (see paragraph 5.12 above)"

Interesting read of the commission report - So they didn't allow us top claim 20.9m but EFL rules allowed us too.
9m wasn't allowed for Covid Losses
and we rejected a verbal offer of £42.5m offer on 30th June
Looks like we need another sale before 30th June 2024

We should have been aiming to be 5 points better off than luton at the start of the season - we've only got ourselves to blame (and a couple of refs)

It wouldn't be ridiculous not to appeal. The appeal carries the risk that we could get more points deducted...

Gamble has paid off.
You think a multi billionaire doesn't understand finance?
"Gamble has paid off"?

4 points deducted - 16% of the total amassewd this season gone at the stroke of a pen... And that's good is it?

"You think a multi billionaire doesn't understand finance?"

I think it's blindingly apparent from the adjudication that either he doesn't or he doesn't care - either of which isn't really a great outlook, is it.

f*** me we weren't even close, were we?

Forget a set piece coach, priority for the summer is an accountant who can count.

And rejecting EUR 50m from Brennan in June from Atletico is a detail the club seem to have very conveniently covered up. f***ing outright hubristic madness to turn that down in the full knowledge it leaves us exposed to this.

Failure. Of. Governance. There is little else to it.

The above is quite a damning statement to be fair and amateurish.. i am still annoyed at a points deduction at all because our losses where under the £105 million all other clubs got to work to. Everton fans going mad as our breach was more than there's but actual losses £30 million less so they can wind there necks in. For non of our mitigation to be accepted is disappointing.

Also the EPL are twats after reading the bits of the report i have.. wanting 8 points as a starting punishment... Them an there refs been trying to f*** us all year
