Yeah let’s sack someone who’s currently playing defensive football and losing games and hire the guy he replaced who was also playing defensive football and losing games.

The only thing what would change is we’d hear the manager saying how much he loves the club in his post game interviews after losing games.

That would, at least, be an improvement of sorts.

The most surprising thing for me remains that we have failed to stem the flow of goals from set pieces. That was absolutely the first thing I expected Nuno to sort...

Instead we got gung-ho Nuno, who seemed happy to set up in really attacking ways before slowly reverting to type.

To not sort the set piece issues is pretty staggering though - you think Morgan hits them the first man in training every week too?

f*** me, change the taker - it might solve two problems in one go!

Onwards...

Should add that we should all back Nuno and the team 2 weeks today and get the 3 points from the palace game.
The uncertainty over the deduction is doing damage to us fans and I wouldn’t be surprised if the players are also struggling with it. A bit of certainty and 3 points will do us the world of good.
Be amazed if we get more than 3 or 4 points with 2 suspended.

Cooper knew that the only way to get a tune out of the team was by building team spirit. Well that alongside a low block and the counter attack.

Nuno came in, and tried to play a more expansive game, which worked a couple of times, but he has now reached the same position cooper got to, in as far as he doesn’t trust the players to play football so is trying to dig a result out of negative dire football.

The issue Nuno has is that he doesn’t have the same bond with the fans, and the players seemed to love playing for cooper. They don’t seem to feel the same for Nuno.

This is all on Evangelos. He gambled and it has backfired massively. Nobody thought cooper was gonna get us into Europe but we had more chance staying up than we do now

Agree with the first two paragraphs.

The third is subjective…the fans yes, the players maybe? I think Nuno needs some media training for his interviews!

The fourth? I couldn’t disagree more.

Cooper got seven points in his last 12 fixtures, in an easier run of games. Other than Villa he showed no signs of turning us round. I fail to see how he changes things, other than the fact that he did it last season. There were zero signs of that happening. If he had stayed the love for Cooper would have definitely started to wane by now.

EM had no option but to pull the trigger. The results just weren’t there. Again, I think Cooper (in hindsight) should have gone sooner.

Note* I’m not slagging off Cooper! For two seasons he was superb, but it just wasn’t happening in his third season.

Nuno has had to contend with AFCON, PSR and VAR. I think 11 points from his last 12 games is about right. If it wasn’t for VAR shafting us we’d be around mid-table.

Nuno has got Wood into double figures, Williams to play as a RB and Tavares had formed a great partnership with CHO.

The loss of Aina and Tavares in particular means we aren’t balanced. Put Aina / Tavares with CHO on the left, Elanga and Williams on the right and we’re a different team.

10 points in seven with Aina and / or Tavares featuring. 1 point in five without them. They should both be fit after the international break.

As disappointing as today is (it stopped me meaning a $350 accumulator), we still didn’t lose.

PSR outcome will be out on Monday and we have a 2 week break to get players back / have a forum meltdown 😂

I’m looking forward to no Forest games for a couple of weeks. That’s for sure!

Let's keep cycling through managers until one works instead as that's always worked for us before.

I've had that thought. The scenario I thought about would be relegation dependent. But I could see it be an outside chance.

Un my case it's not something I want to happen. I was just thinking about what might come of this season, and obviously relegation is one outcome. Does Nuno stay? Does EM have history. Etc.

But what I would want is quite different.

Is I want Nuno to find the solution to staying up, even if the football is basic.

Then he gets a summer and a window to become old Nuno of Wolves fame.

He'll never be that Nuno, he got champions League level players from Mendes. Wolves walked the champ.

He now is a shit manager who has no investment cos we spent too recklessly on crap and he is not an improvement on a forest legend.

Sack him now cos he's shit.

When Cooper was replaced, several fans thought the ‘next man’ would take us to the next level. It just hasn’t happened, I don’t see any progress since Cooper was sacked. Let’s face it, we’ve been pretty average in 2024.

Coopers problems are now Nuno’s. I don’t think the club is a particularly healthy place for anyone to work at - Cooper looked broken when he left and in the space of 3 months, I feel that Nuno’s personality is very downbeat.

I don’t understand why there isn’t a single person at the club who isn’t prepared to take on the responsibility for set pieces. Surely, any manager can see that this is a fundamental.

Not calling for Nuno to be sacked, it won’t work at this stage of the season and it would only bring in a Allardyce or Warnock figure. Remember this though - Nuno’s objective is to finish 17th, which surely wasn’t the plan when Marinakis appointed him.

It sounds as if the problem isn't the manager but something else at the club.

No no, it's definitely the manager.

And when I say "the manager" I mean the manager. Not a specific one, just whoever is in the seat at the time.

This is interesting, Toffolo is rated by many. is it a coincidence? He definitely doesn't have the power to move us up the field as the other two do. He also doesn't prevent crosses from coming in. Hopefully the return of the Aina and Tavares will see us pick up more points.

Surprised he's still not been sacked. Many of us said better the devil you know but some people and the owner wanted change. Well change has come and it looks just like before. Only the good will Cooper had isn't there for this Mendes fraud.

He needs to go. Give it Stephen Reid, we're down anyway least Reid might give us some fight.

Could have been the manager too, he sure looked clueless in the last few weeks. He had no idea how to get a tune out of Wood, and he contributed hugely in the Christmas period.

Anyway, there are big problems, but they aren't going away while EM is in charge.

I think that’s unfair-our football has been reasonably okay since Nuno arrived (save the first
half collapse at Villa and last week at Brighton).
We do have this remarkable ability to shoot ourselves in the foot though (and that was happening under Steve Cooper as well).
