Yes. Carrick had him playing off the front man and he was in his element. The lone striker role doesn't suit him in my opinion.

Carrick saw that. But anyway, sounds like the deal is not on and everyone can relax that Akpom v. 2015 won't be arriving :LOL:

It was 9-years ago and much of our Championship/League One period has drifted to the back of my memory, but fair point nontheless.

Just out of interest however, are you aware if any of those others you mention have made any sort of positive impact elsewhere since in the way that this lad has, albeit only quite recently?

No they've all been absolutely toss wherever they've gone. I think Ebecillio has ended up in Cypriot 2nd tier last time I heard his name.
