Ivan Toneyā€™s a good player and all that but weā€™re talking like heā€™s prime fat Ronaldo.

Unless heā€™s got a lot better by not playing any football?
Toney be like...

Don't see why it's must win. A draw is a better result for us than them.
It's must win for two reasons.

Firstly, if we want to be where the owner wants us to be we have to be winning games like this.

But more importantly, absolutely vital, is that potentially we are looking at a points deduction in a couple of months time, we need to be beating all the teams below us and around us in order to have as much as a buffer as we possibly can if and when that point deduction arrives. win this and 3 deducted points don't matter. draw and it's going to be difficult to stay above them, lose and we won't.

This season is now all about getting at least 12 points more than the teams below us. Win Saturday and it gives us 3 and makes it a tiny bit easier.

When I was 9yrs old in 1971, I was at Bramcote swimming baths doing handstands in the pool, showing off to the lasses in our advanced swimming class.
On one occasion I lost my balance, my arms gave way... and I smashed my face on the bottom of the pool.

When I surfaced to the top of the water, I noticed I'd knocked one of my front teeth clean out. I had to have a denture fitted with a false tooth. :(
Not long after that incident we moved house and i never went back to those swimming baths again 'til 1993.

So... 1993 I decide to go to Bramcote baths for the first time since I lost my tooth.

At the baths I decided to dive off the highest diving board. When I got the top of the board... I looked down. It seemed a hell of a way down.
As I stood there looking down at the water, the kids in the queue standing behind me told me to hurry up.

I did a perfect dive off the board into the water... When I reached the surface... I'd somehow managed to leave my false tooth at the bottom of the pool in the diving area!!!! :(

Some balls of steel there. I was on that Bramcote board with Rushcliffe comp 1971 too.
Chickened out and jumped instead of diving.
Never lived it down.
Quite confident of a good showing tomorrow. Mangala for Danilo and we're fair set.

f*** me, just read on the BBC that he has his goal celebration ready.

My united supporting friend had just asked why Toney wanted to get one over on us, as he'd heard a podcaster say as much. The only thing I could think of is that it was fabricated nonsense, or perhaps we'd lost him some money somewhere along the line.

I genuinely won't be surprised if he arrives by helicopter on the centre spot 5 minutes before kick off.
The hype is worse than I can remember for any other player

It'd be nice if he was using his return to raise awareness for addiction, acknowledge his second chance and opportunity to do better and show a little humility but instead he's planning his celebration, claiming he's been unfairly victimized by lads at a petrol station and is trying to get out of the club who's just paid his wages for 8 months while they get nothing back.

Iā€™ll wager that ā€˜43 signings & Ā£250million spendā€™ gets mentioned more šŸ˜”
Hard disagree, the whole build ups been about Toneys return.... It's like he's had cancer and is making his triumphant return against all adversity, not that he was gambling, broke the rules, lied about it and got punished.

They will mention the latter though and FFP.

The BBC šŸ¤£

Our whole mainstream media industry are obsessed with sensationalism whether itā€™s concerning shingles outbreaks, the price of tinned baked beans or Ivan Toney.
Canā€™t remember the last time I took anything seriously from MSM.
