Little sleep lost over this one.

Odd character, skateboarding through the middle of Notts? Rubix cube stuff, then theres the crypto distraction.

What little we saw he looked a slow, lightweight luxury player. Another recruitment f*** up, he's better off in Brazil. Im hoping Nuno runs through this lot quick so we can get some fit for purpose players.

I don't think he could ever have made it as a regular in the EPL, the division is far too physically demanding. There's only so much work you can do with an established player entering the later stages of their career, you have no choice but to work with what they have rather than shaping them into the player you want

I have no doubt he'll stand out in a division where you're given more time on the ball and an extra second to pick the right ball but sadly you're not getting that over here. Still think given our lack of options last season he would have been worth a spot on the bench but I think we can probably all agree at this point he's no use to us and the fact we can get a few quid for him is a win win for all parties

Not certain David Villa was a big, physically strong player either, right? I think Scarpa, like Bade and a few others (see all of our loans this season) were never players Cooper understood how to use. Now, one can speculate all we want about "maybes" but we had more than a few over the past 18 months. Which, partially, was due to the huge influx of players. But most managers make mistakes about some players. There are few who do not.

I remain convinced there's a player in there who just wasn't used properly. Oh well, I'll wear my headband for the appropriate period of mourning before burying it with my SVC knuckle duster, Michael Dawson blanket, Marlon Harewood A-Team van and David Prutton beard trimmer.
If there was a player in there, then it wasn’t just Forest that failed to spot it
He didn’t shine at Oly either.

He's a decent player but completely unsuited to a fast counter attacking side which relies on its midfielders to do the defensive work as well.

Whack him in a #10 slot in a 4231 of a team that controls possession and I reckon he'd look ok at this level.

Shame we didn't get to see more of him, but at least we've made a bit of money on him. Might help towards either a keeper or striker this January.

Another hit & hope punt which had positives but no real plan behind it all when you look at how our team played. Good outcome in the end with the fee though, but that doesn't change the fact that throwing player upon player like this at the manager isn't going to get us to where Marinakis wants us.

He sounded like a good player, seemed like a nice lad and I am sure that he helped the other Brazilian lads settle in. Sorry it didn't work out for him but the reality is that this is the best league in the world and he probably wasn't quite at the level. Good luck Gustavo.

I feel disappointed he didn't work out. I had high hopes. The PL has proven yet again you need to be extra special to survive and be successful.

Thanks and good luck.

He never made it in England either.

Odd comparison. Even of you’d said David Silva or Bernardo, there was little evidence of Scarpa possessing that kind of quality.
