It literally just says Lyon need money so they'll sell him to Forest who agreed terms with him before we got MGW. It sounds like bollocks to me.

If the press is to be believed, Lyon have been flashing their garter for weeks now and (supposedly) none of the big boys have bitten. If I'm Lyon, it probably makes sense now to gamble on the final day madness when a couple of desperate clubs might bite.

Once attended a junior reds event at the city ground. Neil Webb and Johnny Metgod were there and each of us got a goody bag of stuff including a forest mug, only it read Nottingham Forrest.
Glad we’ve upped our game since.

Went to the club shop today to get my lad Yates on the back of his shirt. Looked at the receipt and it says Nottingham Forrest. We don’t stand a chance when we do it ourselves with the spelling

We are already well stocked in CM (having signed four in this window, in addition to Yates) and don't need a third AM. Our business is done in those positions.

I get that but he’s a level above any of our CM”s. I’d rather quality than quantity. He’d make our team infinitely better and would bring other players into the game with his creative dribbling and passing. Anyway, we will agree to disagree

He's a good player, no doubt about it. But given how well stocked we are in those areas I don't see the club going in for him or anyone else in that position. Both financially and in the context of having to register a 25 man squad, we just don't have room for anyone else in those positions.I get that but he’s a level above any of our CM”s. I do hope he goes to another overseas club rather than a Premier League club, as he's a quality player. I'm not convinced we were ever close to signing him though, too many conflicting stories in the French media IMO.
