One less gobshite...
Maybe not on the PT stand itself but I'd like to there would be some of the surrounding work that could commence earlier.
They cant do anything until the legal agreement for the boatcpub is in place and a planning application for its replacement has been granted.

Its a condition of the permit.

There will need to be a discussion if it hasn’t already happened about where to put 3500 away fans because to give up the whole of the lower bridgeford should be a no no.

Japanese knotweed is no joke either, it's classed as a hazardous substance, if my memory serves and it takes years of treatment to eradicate, or burying it 5m underground. I think it can f*** up concrete.
I recommend a flamethrower.

My uncle was the bloke at the start that got the increase in capacity wrong, bless him. Think he got confused thinking thinking we were adding 8000 seats to the Main Stand which would almost increase it by 30% or that the permission was for both the Main Stand and the Bridgford.

He's right in some senses that it can be a bit of a nightmare getting out of the ground at full time, either going towards the Southbank or Lady Bay Bridge and adding more people visiting the ground at one time probably isn't going to make that any easier. Seen some folk pointing out that we had 40k in 1978 but let's be honest here, we probably didn't have the terrorist barriers and the police blocking the road or closing bridges in 1978.

I've gone Trent Bridge way and Lady Bay way before when it's busy and to be honest, in the event of people having to get away from the stadium quickly like a terrorist attack or something like that, there would be some serious injuries to people, especially in the winter months. It's high unlikely but in 2022, it's not impossible.

All things considered, I do support the capacity expansion. That said, would be nice if they could maybe add a streetlight at the bottom of the Cycle Steps on Lady Bay because you are playing a bit of a guessing game and herding like penguins at times for a night game there.

At the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Stuttgart, a program of stadium improvements has just started, in advance of the Euro 2024 Championship (Stuttgart is a host city).

The entire lower tier of the Haupttribüne/Main Stand is being demolished, along one complete side of the stadium, and is being rebuilt with newer, more comfortable seats, a larger media area, entirely refurbished dressing rooms, some new offices and other interior features and the rest of the stadium will get a spruce up as well.

The timescale for these works (which will see stadium capacity reduced by 10.000 to 50.000 supporters) means the project has to be completed well before May 2024, and the club believe that by the end of this coming season, the major structural works will be in place, and refurbishment of the other bits can start.

It was quite odd, this last couple of weeks, watching pictures and footage of the bulldozers at work, behind both dugouts is now completely fenced-off, and a huge pile of rubble.

The Upper Tier of the Haupttribüne (which is where I usually sit) remains open. The glass windows you can see in the photo above are the executive boxes, which are all being ripped-out and fully refurbished too, as part of the makeover.

Can't help but feel we will regret not being more ambitious in terms of seating capacity for the PT stand.

Should forget the tower block of flats and add another tier on the stand so we can go straight to 40,000 seats. Losing the tower block will help with egress concerns.

There's no other easy way to add capacity once the PT stand is done. One way ticket almost. Lower Bridgford changes won't be worth it so will be locking in 35,000.

The revenue from the apartments though, will subsidise the new stand. And I remain convinced that - longer term - the „new“ Peter Taylor Stand won‘t be seen as the „Main“ stand in future, that will be a redeveloped Brian Clough Stand, because as we all know, the then-Executive Stand was simply plonked on top of the old East Stand terracing, with the profits from the European success.

Forest could, once the new PT Stand is done, and maybe the extension to the Bridgford Stand sorted, consider demolishing the entire current BC stand, and rebuilding it as a triple-tier structure - there is absolutely plenty of room to do that, and less potential objection in terms of right-to-light (the nearest buildings are the environment agency to the east, and the houses south of the stadium).

A new, larger, more modern BC Stand could well take the stadium to 40k capacity, and that would (probably) be enough for a few years, at least.

It all depends on staying in the top flight, of course!

Does anyone know what they’re doing to the ground this summer that’s meant “home” friendlies have had to be played elsewhere? Seems a long time if it’s just for a lick of paint. Would be nice if they sort out the half time beverage situation 😂

Cables, media facilities, floodlights etc.

Nothing exciting from a fan experience point of view , I don't think.

I attended the meeting yesterday in person, if Counsellor Thomas was deeply distressed regarding the £270k. I’d hate to think what she would be like during…… let’s say her house was burning down.

I loved one comment yesterday from Mr Ashcroft yesterday “ affordable housing is expensive but it’s affordable to someone” what an absolute put down to Counsellor Thomas

One of those idiots gave the impression he might know about football until he busted out the "fact" that a club plays 25 games in a Premier League season 😂 I mean, Jesus Christ, where do they find these imbeciles?!
He was factoring in our successful cup runs :)

I agree, just look at the demand at the moment.... I am almost resigned now never being able to buy a ticket for myself directly from the club. I would have to buy one second hand. I just think 35K is too small. We are the 9th largest metro area in the UK and we have some fans who are outside Nottingham. I think 45K is the sweet spot in all honesty however would that be fun if we get relegated? I remember going to League 1 games with 18k and some championship games with 22k. Need to be a little less fickle as well.
