According to today’s meeting they can’t start anything until they’ve built a new boat club and they haven’t even agreed a new location yet

Not any moreDoes the boat club owner also have a bakery
This is the last possible fly in the ointment. Hoping that now permission is granted it will motivate other parties to get a move on and get this bleedin boat club sortedIt’ll probably take 3 years to get planning permission for the new boat club.
Yes. But they suggested done in 12 months - hence fully operational for start of 24/25 season. They can’t start til summer 23
Yes, and worse.Japanese knotweed is no joke either, it's classed as a hazardous substance, if my memory serves and it takes years of treatment to eradicate, or burying it 5m underground. I think it can f*** up concrete.
I’m usually a traditionalist by nature and hate to see too much change but I will rejoice when they bring that downHard to believe a club this size has a shed of a main stand in these times. Should have been demolished 12 years ago under Doughty. Would be great to get some work done on the other stands aswell if possible, bigger concourses etc and obviously get rid of that ridiculous dip in the bridgeford stand.
Great news though , can’t wait for it.
Burying it doesn't work, it just grows and grows and grows. Burning it doesn't work either so I'm told.Japanese knotweed is no joke either, it's classed as a hazardous substance, if my memory serves and it takes years of treatment to eradicate, or burying it 5m underground. Alexander Stadium Birmingham, Commonwealth games opening ceremony taking place right nowThey could build interim completion dates and penalties etc into the contract, at the risk of not having people go for it or having price increased to account for that risk.
I can see it taking longer as well, especially given the labour issues that are going on worldwide. Have other stadium jobs been done on schedule recently?
Opening ceremonies aren’t my thing.Alexander Stadium Birmingham, Commonwealth games opening ceremony taking place right now
Absolutely, it's a pile of shiteOpening ceremonies aren’t my thing.
But surely this is one of the most boring on record.
Yes, and worse.
I've seen it split the front of house in two from it being in the driveway.
We had an outbreak on our allotment once. They taped off the area like a crimescene and men in white suits came, carefully dug it out and took it away.
I belive that if you get it, you're able to claim onn your building insurance.
Why would you careWhy were they talking about knotweed anyway? I didn't watch and don't think anyone really said on here...
The scousers built one stand, 20k capacity, on time and under budget. The one they're currently doing, adding 7k to an existing stand, just hit a milestone that should just ensure they bring to conclusion for 23/24 season which will be on time. They could build interim completion dates and penalties etc into the contract, at the risk of not having people go for it or having price increased to account for that risk.

There are two patches local to the development. One behind the boat club and yhe other in an unknown location. Why were they talking about knotweed anyway? I didn't watch and don't think anyone really said on here...
Maybe not on the PT stand itself but I'd like to there would be some of the surrounding work that could commence earlier. They can’t start til summer 23
