i know all about the new pitch, founder members, going to piss the league so on and so forth,

being offered the job will be like being asked which of the deadly contagious diseases do you want.

Though Emma Hayes does know her football and there's no logical reason why a female coach couldn't coach a men's team.

Other than that football does seem to be a bit like a dinosaur in terms of equality still and doesn't really accept homosexual players (hence the massive deal about that Blackpool lad), it's about time these attitudes did change and the game accepted everyone.

Andy Murray was reasonably successful with a female coach (who had been a world number 1 in her own playing days) so there's history in other sports too. Though football would probably just take any team appointing a female coach and ridicule them for it, it's not good enough.

I don't think anyone gives a shit if players are gay apart from the media who made a story out of nothing regarding the Blackpool lad

Emma Hayes hasn't managed at anything like the level Derby are at and would be massively out of her depth there

Tennis is a poor comparison because the stakes in women's tennis are just as high as in men's tennis with the same pressure which isn't the case in football

Why would Emma Hayes leave Chelsea women for Derby. Even if Derby were desperate for her, she wouldn't go to that level.

Championship at a minimum.

Didnt she turn down actual football clubs, you know like ones with players and stuff, to remain at Chelsea? Think it was reading or Wimbledon or some random southern club.

did you see the “super computer” that predicted the final positions of their league… had them finishing 3rd! Think terminator is a long way off.

Aye …..maybe in group F of the papa johns trophy,

i‘d be astonished if they avoid a relegation scrap next season even with their new pitch.

That was what they has last summer I think. Not sure if it'll be even stricter in League One, but I certainly don't see them being allowed to pay more than that this season.

Pretty sure that only applies to their playing staff though. They won't be an attractive option whatever they are going to pay their manager though.
