I'm still really excited with this signing.

Just have such a good feeling.

Snap I’m really excited by him, it’s the extra dimension of some sort of pace at the back. Also the boy can play football. If Mbe Soh can actually stay fit and fulfil his potential as well, we could end up with serious talent there.

Suddenly we might have a French connection that's worth getting behind.

Samba. Mbe Soh. Panzo.

The last player Forest signed from the French second-tier has gone to be a cult hero at the club for his committed performances.

You don’t get to play in French football, if you don’t have a bit of quality about you.

All the best managers think the strength of the team lies in the spine, so this window we have strengthened that area significantly, if all the signings come off. There's no reason to think they won't, so hopes are high with good reason, I think.

From the few clips I've seen, this fella comes straight from the Samba Sow school of brick shithouses. He also looks comfortable with ball at feet which a modern defender needs, especially with us pinging them out wide.

Looking forward to seeing him play.

As long as he doesn't come with the Sow contradiction of being a brick shithouse but actually made of biscuits.

Ali Dia played in French football, for Dijon actually. Which proves that Graeme Souness agrees with your statement:)

Proves he cut the mustard somewhere then...

Listening to Charlie McParland, there's nothing to be enthused about with this signing. He also described Sam Surridge as "a panic signing", completely missing the point that losing Grabban necessitated a degree of urgency.

On the same show, Paul Hart effectively said exactly the opposite to McParland regarding both players.

Charlie McParland, a man who's had a weird grudge against Forest for many years now unsurprisingly trying to put the downers on our signings.

He can f*** right off as far as I'm concerned.

On balance, I think I’m with Paul Hart on this one.

Has McParland even heard of either? Probably been on Google.

Hart.
Or McParland?

A first class coach - or a washed up guy with a grudge?

Make your own mind up..

He claimed to have "scouted" Panzo at some time or other, adding that (and I paraphrase) "because the player was good at youth international-level doesn't mean he'll automatically make it" - as if he'd made some kind of deeply profound statement.

I doubt Charlie could even spell Panzo.

In at LWB tomorrow to allow the preferred away CM combination of Yates/Colback holding with Garner in behind the front two?

Don't think we'll see Laryea so it's either that or break up the Yates/Colback pairing for away games with Colback at LWB.

Laryea does play LWB competently tho, not saying Panzo doesn’t but who knows what we’ll see.

Colback will drop back and Yates will partner Garner, I would be very surprised if anyone else gets a look in.
