I can't believe you made me watch that back to make sure, but at least he was sprinting back trying to stop Stoke from scoring again at 3-1 down. Worral and Lolley had already given up and were jogging, it would have been a certain goal anyway had he not slid into it.

Just noticed (I assume Kammy) immidiately after the goal "Ooooh you're not going to believe it, Jeff!"

A f***ing striker/winger too

I'd kinda expect defenders to score odd OG's and not get many goals, but to have that ratio as an attacker takes some doing.

Did he actually played as a striker though.
I know you have your Vrentzos bashing agenda to stick to Alf - but this player never got a chance. Didn’t stop him busting a gut to try and keep us in the game though. You would think folk would admire that, but no - too clouded with their agenda.

Yeah, when he looked utter shite in his pre-season games against lower league opposition in his preferred position, that was all just "agenda" talk Tim

Good riddance.

First goal for Caen yesterday and earlier in the week he said his future may still lie with Forest after hearing about Cooper coming in who matches his outlook on football

Who knows, Cooper may find a use with him.

Pacy, skilful winger/forward. We might need one after January

We were mugged. He's not worth £200k let alone £2m. Absolutely no way do I want to see him in a Forest shirt ever again.

Whilst almost every player, particularly those in attacking positions, has looked better under Cooper than they did under Hughton...

...I wouldn't want him to HAVE to rely on those who were deemed not even good enough previously.

He's also 30 years old - the only way he should ever appear for Forest again is if we were so ravaged by COVID and injury that even Terry the kit-man couldn't make it to the subs bench instead of this waste of a shirt

Is there any way the mods can whack this thread in repeat? Just take the previous 7 posts and repost them every 3 months? Saves everyone the time and effort of slating a player that through no fault of his own ended up up the creek without a paddle.

It's not harsh - apologies if it seemed I was demeaning him as a human being but I think he is a dead end for Forest, were he younger I would suggest he might be worth a second look by Cooper, after all SC has shown that much of the castigating of players under Hughton was primarily down to CH's tactics not their ability. However da Costa was poor while he was here and has not sent the world alight since he left so I don't think he'd be worth the effort to bring him back and try to integrate him in to a new system if we can look at other potential options like blooding more of the youth team players.

Seems like another player who has made a fortune out of football, but no one can work out how he did it.

I would prefer if he didn't come back here and perform the feat one more time. Once bitten, twice shy.

I'm not sure where this assertion comes from?

He didn't come through a big teams youth academy - and kicked around the French fifth tier for most of the early part of his career - not turning pro until he was 24.
He only joined his first 'big' team at the age of 26. I know footballers earn stupid money compared to us mere mortals, especially in four years - but compared to the rest of the Forest squad, he's almost certainly a relative pauper.

So you actually agree with me whilst not actually agreeing.
