Just working it out. Top 2 form is a win at home, draw away. On that basis, if Freedman feels he has one of the best squads in the Championship, I'd expect 36 pts from the remaining games, totalling 70pts - often enough to get into the playoffs.

By that standard I'll be generous and give Dougie top 8 as the standard to achieve to prove his worth.

Don't always agree with you alf but your bang on. He ran his mouth so I expect playoffs as a minimum this season, no excuses.

Freedman thinking of bringing Danny Mills as assistant manager?

Could work - two experienced players who enjoyed success at the highest level

Freedman was a legendary striker who should get our forwards scoring regularly again and Mills an uncompromising defender who should be able to coach our defenders in keeping some clean sheets between now and end of season

Welcome Forest's new 'dream team' Freedman and Mills

I know you're being sarcastic.

I know this...

... But your post still made me angry because currently our club is a joke & this sort of shit could actually happen!

I wouldn't hold those comments against him to be fair. He was getting his excuses in early in case we went there and turned them over.

Actually, We could bring Neil Shipperley in as his assistant and bring back all those memories of that salivating front line we used to have.

Oh those were the days

I did. I gave him an hour.

I know this is tongue in cheek but I genuinely worry that a lot of fans will not support DF from the start simply because of who he replaced. And they certainly won't be making excuses for him in the same way if in 6 months it's not working.

All I ask for is consistency. Each manager gets a clean slate and we support the team not the individuals running it.

If he brings in Neil Shipperley, i'll defend him till he dies.

Give the guy a chance FFS!
Welcome aboard Dougie and all the best.
Its going to be an uphill battle to win the fans over going by the reaction on here!
Time will tell and I hope everyone on here has the balls to apologise if he does well!

Great. Then we can change manager again next season when we're heading the same way.
Winning 3 in 23 games, not winning at home since November (we are now in Feb), not scoring from open play in the first half in the last 16 games. I would expect a change of manager after those stats, I don't know about you. Pearce is a legend and has lasted this long because of his status, however, he is unproven as a good manager. Arsenal fans were calling for Wenger's head a couple of months back (i.e. a proven manager and a legend at Arsenal) and his results were not even remotely as bad as Pearce's, but at least Wenger's past record gave Arsenal hope that he can turn it around...and he has. We are the equivalent of the 'the big five'(i.e. Chelsea, Arsenal, Manure, Citeh, and Liverpool) in this league especially after the signings we have made and our stature...where are we again? If any of the big five were in our position (13th) losing at home to Leicester, QPR, or Hull in the last game with more than half the season gone, their manager would have been out the door.

Losing 3 in 23 is very good but i'm guessing you aren't on about Forest?

All I ask for is consistency.
O'Driscoll 5 months
Mcleish 2 months
Davies 12 months
Pearce 6 months

So. To be consistent, as you want, we are all agreed that he gets 6 months 1 week to get us promoted?

That will be consistent (and also is the average length of manager under Fawaz) will it not?

Hang on if it's a sacking after 6 months and a week how long is it till there's a mention of sacking him or a thread about getting rid?
