I've just had a text off a Stoke fan who has told me to put some money on Pennant coming to us.*

* I've never done this before, as in posted a post about some scurrilous gossip a mate has text me and I hope it is in the right place but the word bantz gave me some indication that I am in the right place!

Craig Dawson has requested a transfer.

No wonder my post count..
Certainly someone I'd like to see here, but not really someone I could see getting in the team. Would push Laing a bit further down the pecking order.

I'd love us to sign him, but apparently it's Burnley that are trying to after him.

I know that Nuno that I know that Nuno that I know
Dawson is from the north west and wants to go back there. Burnley would be favourites as they can offer Premier league , but Blackburn& Wigan can compete wage wise

Comment From TC
On the subject of pace, Bournemouth (who ran rings round us in April) are reported to be signing Max Gradel. Would love us to go for him.

Paul reply to TC
Steve McClaren had a deal in place to sign him before he went abroad. That was one of the reasons why his relationship with the club fell apart.

He had agreed a fee and wages with the player, but was told to renegotiate and try to get him for less.
He was not the only one, either. Same thing happened with one or two players.
Always felt a bit for McClaren because the signings he made were his squad players.
The deals for all the match winners and creative players he had lined up never got done...

And we ended up with a central midfield of Boateng and Greening

Always rated him shame we f**ked this one up.

Anybody seen the George Thorne thread on Derby's forum? It's getting up there with Parttingham!

They are currently 375 pages in, people spying at aiports, ITK's everywhere and people losing their minds!

Yoan Gouffran (born 25 May 1986) is a French footballer[2] who currently plays for Newcastle United in the Premier League. Gouffran plays as a striker or a winger and is renowned for his pace and ability to finish with either foot.

Sounds good. Sing him up. :faceslap:
