I dont think it was to bad. Megson resigned and waived his pay off.
As far as i can recall, we always seem to part on good terms with managers- at least publicly.

Yup. Add to that the fact that Sheff is just up the road and no doubt Doughty was mates with the other top brass at a few of the local clubs and I'd say there'd be enough people there who knew him there to motion such a thing. Very nice of em.
