Scottish forward. Scored 62 times in 120 games for Forest in the 1930s. Former Headmaster of St Edmunds C Of E Primary School in Mansfield Woodhouse according to Wikipedia.

Scored 4 against Port Vale at the CG in a 6-1 in November 1933. More than he got for the rest of the season. Was just warming up.

Get this...

Nov 9 Barnsley (h) 6-0 - scores 4
Nov 23 Port Vale (h) 9-2 - scores 4
Dec 26 Doncaster (h) 6-2 - scores 4

Has to be the hottest goalscoring streak in the history of Nottingham Forest. Hit four three times in five home games.

Only scored 8 more times that season - 20 in 29 games in total. We finished 19th in Div 2.

There can't have been more than 15 Forest players who have scored four in a single game (I can remember Lee Chapman doing it - who else?). He did it 4 times, and 3 times in a couple of months.

Thomas Peacock - what a ledge.

I know that Nuno that I know that Nuno that I know
But how does he compare to Jack Marriott?

Was checking this record because Sobeys Safeway gives away $1,000,000 dollars to one of their shoppers in Winnipeg every time a Jets player scores five in a single game in the NHL. It's good advertising, gets them on TV for every game, and their money is pretty safe...it hadn't happened since Winnipeg got its team back in 2011, hadn't happened anywhere for seven years...until Saturday. So they had to pay out a million randomly to a customer. Good night for that bloke. He might not even like hockey.

So wondering what the football equivalent would be, probably four goals in a game. So looking at Forest records and up pops the legend of THOMAS PEACOCK. He bankrupted grocery stores in the 1930s for fun.

Oh, Marlon Harewood scored four (all first half) in a 6-0 win against Stoke in 2003. Was at that one.

I seem to remember Peter Withe putting four past Ipswich Town at the City Ground in 1977/78 season.

Listened to a Friday night T20 game at the Oval in the summer to pass some time. They had a different sponsor every game, and I can't remember exactly what is was now, but remember thinking at the time the prize for catching a six in the crowd, needlessly generous. You can rely on kids or drunk people shelling most of them though.

I only listened to the first innings, and there were four catches in the crowd. The sponsor's marketing people will have been called into the office Monday morning.

Abraham must be the first player ever to score four against us in a single game, and not be in the winning side.
