Jack Robinson has some massive hatred of us for some reason

Not that that'll make any difference because a fired up Jack Robinson is still shit

I guess Oli McBurnie might fancy it too after the playoff final stuff.

Edit: Giving the Blunts additional credit by mistake as obviously only Forest got a Wembley ticket that season.

You say that, but at times teams who deserve to go down do stay up. Everton last season for example. There is a difference between deserving to be relegated and actually being relegated.
Given that if we “deserve” our four points off this season then they deserve six of their points deducted last season, which would have relegated them, I’m going to have accept this example 👍

Sheffield Utd a classless club with nasty fans and one or two of their players are knuckle draggers too.
Let's hope our players don't get sucked into their gamesmanship and lose their heads when we play them.

I'm sure I read a stat the other day that Everton have scored the 2nd most goals from set pieces this season.

Arsenal are number 1. Luton are right up there too.

You'd be bang on mate...

I guess the comfort there is how few Sheff U & Burnley score from them.

But I'll be surprised if we come away from Everton with anything more than a point.

Surprising stats those

West Ham have James Ward-Prowse, arguably the greatest free kick threat in the league, and yet they've only scored three more set piece goals than us?

In the reverse fixtures they have drawn with 10 man wolves and lost to the rest.

They are also the 3rd worst performing team at home and 2nd worst performing away from home so far.

They additionally have 10 first team players out injured so with past performance not being great and a depleted squad I don't see them turning into a team that gets 8 points from teams that they've got 1 from in the previous 5 attempts.

Exactly. Luton are utter dogshit. We've been dire this season, had points deducted and have literally been cheated out of at least 6 points through inept refs and we're still a point and 8 goals better off than them.

I'm not saying we'll definitely stay up or anything but it'd highly unlikely that Luton suddenly start earning loads of points. They're where they are for a reason.

You know why teams down the bottom work so hard on set-pieces? Because ultimately, the balance is in favour of the attacking team but also, it's not necessarily a matter of skill but of being physical and in the right place, at the right time to divert the ball goalwards. You don't have to break teams down, you don't have to go past players. Just put the ball in that big square, for someone wearing your coloured shirt to have a stab at.

The fact that we're in April and we're still conceding them regularly, boils my piss. This is the Premierleague, the most watched league in the world. You don't even need to watch lots of our games to know where we are weak, you can just watch the match highlights. I don't expect to never concede a goal from a dead ball again but every f***ing game!?

It's not being dicked out of a point by Liverpool or not beating a pretty decent Wolves side (Cunha is a hell of a player btw) that is going to take us down, it's things like failing to beat Palace or Luton that is going to do us.

I still feel like we can stay up, it's in our hands but we've got to earn it. The Everton game for me is all or nothing. Go there and win that, hard to see us being anything other than fine and it drags them right into it. Go there and lose, we're in serious, serious trouble. Maybe even more so when we were trying to climb out of relegation last season. A draw just helps teams around us.

Precisely this

They are also where they are totally on footballing merit, whereas we would be 16th and five points clear of the relegation zone all points deductions aside

Brentford are pretty much safe (32 vs 25) because if Luton catch them it will drag other teams in first (us, Palace, Everton). Looking at it you'd probably say the same about Palace as well. If any of the bottom 3 don't go down, it will be us or Everton instead. And it's looking like that is between Luton, us and Everton.

A Luton win would see us in the relegation zone and need to beat Everton to end the weekend out of it. We need Brentford to do the business here. Does Toney still have the magic spray?

Not sure where i read it but it said that Everton have the best goal to set piece ratio and we have conceded more goals from set pieces than any other club, something like 6 more.

They are going to be diving as much as they can.
Playing for corners

Can see them scoring 2 maybe 3 against us from set pieces.

The only way I see us wining this is if we dont have a bent ref and shit VAR and Everton have a player sent off.

This game will finish 4-2 to Everton

Starting to think the brown envelopes should have been handed out a long time ago to be honest. Both to PGMOL and the PSR commission. Even the fixture list appeared to want to leave us up against it this season.

I’m firmly in the ‘could go either way’ camp.
