Long way to go yet. It looks scary now looking at the table but we just have to back ourselves to outscore Luton over the next 6/7 games. That shouldn't be a big ask IMO and if we fail to do that we don't deserve to be in the league anyway.

We do-but it’s very difficult to achieve that at this level.
Tottenham (a) and Manchester City (h) in the next 4 games make an unbeaten run highly unlikely.
If we get two mini streaks either side of a loss, it will have to do and pray for 2 wins, 3 draws. That's where we're at.

If Everton get done for more points, both them and Brentford are in the mire.

Luton have very winnable home games left.

Anyone thinking another 5 points keeps us safe is in for a shock I reckon….

Luton winless in 10 games before today finally win and the sky's falling.

We will get something tomorrow and batter the blue scousers in a few weeks time.
Exactly. It's an emotional roller coaster every week. After the midweek games Luton fans would've been distraught and now they're no doubt full of hope again.

Feel a bit sick after seeing Luton come back to win that, can’t lie. At the same time we’re still ahead of them on goal difference with a game in hand and they’ll still lose more of their last 6 than they win. Completely in our own hands and if we can’t keep ourselves up from this position we deserve to go down. Definitely a position we should be backing ourselves from.

I felt 5 points might be enough before today and it still might be but we may need around 7
more points (32 in total) to have a decent chance.
The game at home next week looks huge to me.

Do you think 7 would do it then, all things considered?

I can't see Brentford going down, as much as I'd love to see it.

They're only 4 points off Luton (like 5 with the GD though) but for them to go down it would mean a lot of struggling teams below them suddenly start winning.

Our problem is that deep down we’re kinda relying on a Luton / Everton implosion, so when they win, we’re in shit, because we all know that Forest on their day can mess up any week and against any opposition.

It doesn’t matter if Luton get smashed by City etc, they pick up points against teams like Bournemouth which we don’t.

We get some miracle results like Chelsea/Man U, then can’t beat anyone in the bottom 6 - huge problem. I think we’re more likely to beat Spurs tomorrow, than Wolves or Luton

I think they’ll beat Sheffield United at home next week to end any serious worries.

Its in our hands and can be done.

Without points deductions they would be saying the bottom 3 are done and deservedly so because they've not been great really.

Luton have possibly 2 or 3 more wins in them but that would massively buck the trend of the previous 31 games and I think if they get something then with Evertons imminent point deduction and Brentfords fall off then it can still help us anyway.

Bournemouth are on the beach like they do every season, 40 points then sack it off, the tosspots.

Brentford play at Luton in a couple of weeks, which could tighten it up. Although they have Sheff Utd at home before then.

Just did one of those predictor thingies. I ended up with us on 35 points and Luton on 30...

Had us losing to Spurs, City and Chelsea and beating Sheff Utd then drawing to Burnley, Everton and Wolves. That's probably a bit too optimistic.

That would only give us 31 points-given our 4 points deduction.
