Has the dynamism to get up and down. Certainly won't sit but there is nothing wrong with that.

Out of the loanees I am most intrigued with him. Whether he will be a Warbs type player I'm not sure. But I can't see why not.

Interesting few months ahead for him to carry on doing what he is doing and then pre-season Warbs can see whether we work with him or loan him again.

Stallard: ''you just felt that #Notts had just chucked two points away..but up pops Ryan Yates - what a player he is for 20 years of age''.

According to my Notts mates who go virtually every game rate him highly. Apparently loves to get stuck in to a tackle and puts himself about. It would seem he knows where the goal is too.

They are not sure if he could play championship level yet but one for the future maybe.

Saw him last season in pre-season V Port Vale and was very impressed.

Keep him at Notts for the rest of the season, he’s improving at such a rate I think it’d be churlish to bring him back now.

I think this guy has a big future in a red shirt.

He has always gone under the radar because he never got in our first team, but I see him as a much bigger prospect than Grant. He has impressed supporters wherever he has been. And a bonus: He fits the role that we need. Proper box-to-box battler.

The only question I would ask at the moment is what is he like in possession. Would he be able to run a midfield with the ball on the floor instead of the kick and rush style at Notts? I'm sure MW will be taking a serious look at him in the summer.

All the more reason to bring him back here in January.

Vaughans replacement? Yates & Cash running midfield.

not yet , at least not in the forseeable fufure.

well done to yates who scored in front of warburton who was watching. certainly helped his cause t for next season. keep him and grant there till end of season, a winning campaign for notts would helped both players tremendously in their development . don't yank them out midterm as there simply won't have many opportunities for them in the forest first team. look at brereton who seemed to be lost in the shuffle for now.

Alan 'Funny Head' Hardy has confirmed that NFFC have given them written confirmation that neither Yates nor Grant will be recalled in January.

Disappointing on two counts.

The first being the thought of watching players like Vaughn struggling to fulfill this brief when the time could be right to invest in players like Yates & have him primed for next season.
For me, inconsistency of performance is easier to swallow if the same players will eventually flower. Doubtful in the case of Vaughn.

The second being Im f***ing fed up of watching the Saddies prevail with our players.

To add insult to injury, he did it with some further poorly veiled digs at Forest 'not being a big enough team' to draw in the FA Cup. Wanker.

Id have dragged the two players back just for that. Staggering to think some folk have been on here suggesting its good to have both teams do well in the City. Is it f***.

Never met a County fan to find the humility in him to know his rightful footballing place in the city of Nottingham. Bitter as f*** the lot of em.

Scunthorpe have bid 100k for him. They currently 4th in L1.

Do they think this is a charity ?

I reckon these types of bids make it an even bigger chance they will be re-called this window and maybe loaned to L1 if not kept here.

We have no need to sell now.

Grant contracted to 2020
Yates contracted to 2019 (but he will be getting a new contract)

If we don't take up on any loan interest from L1 then I would be very disappointed
