Most Disappointing Signing THIS SEASON?

Which of this season's signing are we most disappointed with? I don't necessarily mean the worst signing. This is by no means a dig at any of the signings, I'm just interested to know which ones folk were excited about and haven't quite seen the best of yet.

I myself was over the moon when we signed Williams, Welsh International, links up well with Johnno for Wales. I thought he'd hit the ground running. I think it's fair to say that's not happed just yet. I'm not saying he's a flop mind.

Interested to know folks thoughts.

For Forest, or anyone?

(that is a polite way of asking „Do you know you‘ve put this in Football Banter, not Forest Banter?)

For Forest longer term: Matty Fryatt has to be up there; a promising, proven Centre Forward, he just disappeared into nothing, before slinking out of the club when his contract expired.

This season: I have been disappointed with the progress (or lack of) from Neco Williams. I thought he was better than this, but he is young, and will hopefully get better.

Harry Arter will be remembered as the worst signing in the history of the club. And his contract doesn't even expire at the end of this season. We're stuck with him for another year.

Of this season's signings - I was disappointed for Biancone when he picked up his injury. He looked the fastest by far of any of our defenders and perhaps would have blossomed under Cooper's tutelage... but Richards has to be our worst summer signing - zero appearances, and it looks like he's nowhere near ready for first-team football as it stands. I imagine a few heads rolled behind the scenes at Forest when it turned out we'd signed someone incapable of playing for the majority of this season, at the very least.

Some might say it's harsh - given that I haven't seen a single minute of competitive football, but I'm going to go with Loïc Badé - and for that exact reason, I'm disappointed that he wasn't good enough to earn a single minute of competitive football.

Emmanuel Dennis for me. More because I wasn't familiar with him before he joined and I thought he was a big centre forward capable of doing what Davis did last season...a little disappointed to find out he's none of those things! Also if his attitude is wrong then it's been a poor signing all round. I don't see where he fits into the team.

In my opinion, O'Brien got off to a good start, then the illness seemed to have nobbled him for a bit.
Looked sharp and lively against Fester mind.

Not sure about one player but the worst transfer window ever was the Gary Brazil January transfer window that everyone got excited about.

Ariyibi and Zachary clough permanently and then Aaron tshibola, Ross McCormack and joao texeira.

Niakhate. Huge loss at the heart of defence and ultimately probably ended up switching our formation because he wasn't available.

Richard gets away with it because Lodi came in.

Honourable mentions for Williams and Dennis, who both look neat on the ball but ultimately contributions to the game are poor. One of those players might come good in time though, the other will probably be playing in Saudi Arabia sometime soon.

O'Brien shouldn't even be getting mentioned, let alone nominated in first place by some.

Hand grenade in the room thread this one. I love it.

Having longed for a player to get hold of the game at the base of our midfield for what seems like donkeys years, Mangala & Freuler are right up there for me. If Danillo turns out to be a stay at home, 5yd horizontal man, Im going off Trent Bridge.

Ive made this about me, rather than the team. Although I do think we'll f***ing fly when someone steps up to make some forward passes from the base to save MGW having to do so much donkey work.

From the archives Freeman gets my vote, watched him carve through us at will for years, when he comes, he presents as a shit jan Molby tribute act. Heartbreaking.
